I'm sad to write this but I've thrown in the towel. The doctors are very nice people but no doctor is worth the 1 hour + wait, every single time. I've booked first thing in the morning, mid-day, and last appt. and regardless, I wait and I wait and I wait. With a sick, impatient toddler, I think you can all feel my pain. When I inquire about the constant wait the doctors blame it on the nurses and the nurses blame it on the doctors. Dr Loventhal is the only one who seems to care, offering a brief apology that sounds like it has been repeated 50x before. Very sad because the doctors all seem kind, especially Loventhal, (the others are a bit rushed) but I can't continue to waste hours of my life in this place. It's rude, inconsiderate and bad business to assume the doctors' time is more valuable than the patients'. You should also be aware that no matter how many times you arrive on time, the parent that showed up 1 hour late will get to see the doctor before you. Bad business practice. For those of you thinking 'its probably Obamacare', I can assure you, its been like this long before Obamacare started to affect things. Bottom line, they take on too many patients. Oh and PS - be wary of the valet. They scratched my bumper with poor parking (I watched from the window) and they throw the valet ticket between your seats to dispose of it (nice). We're going elsewhere. I wish someone had warned me about all this, so I feel compelled to offer my review

My kids have been going to CWC for 5+ years. I like my primary doctor, Dr. Mekelburg, but when your child is sick you are going to interact with all of the docs in the practice. One of the great strengths of this practice is that all the docs are great. In any pediatrics practice, you are going to see several of the doctors over time, so it is important that you like all of them. At CWC, they know what they are doing, and they never, ever rush you through an appointment. They will spend as long as the parents need answering questions. - That's so rare in medicine today! Maybe it is because they all have young children themselves. I have seen reviews that indicate dissatisfaction with wait time or this and that about the staff. I can say that I've never experienced those issues first-hand. Maybe those people were after me, and it's my fault for asking too many questions and slowing the doctors down. All I can say is that it would be worth the wait to get 100% attention and plenty of time with the doctors. After all, a patient, listening doctor is the one that is going to catch an illness earlier, before it becomes serious. Shouldn't that be the most important decision in selecting a doctor for your child?

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Children's Wellness Center! The doctors and staff are friendly and really take the time to answer my questions. I usually don't have to wait to see the doctor and if I do, it is no more than a few minutes. I love that the doctors are easily reached and that they have a male doctor for when my boys get a little older. I am so happy that a friend recommended Children's Wellness Center to me four years ago! Ignore the negative reviews on here--this is a GREAT practice!

Yeah...you just lost a client. What is wrong with this office: 1. Either cannot or will not pronounce my son's name correct- and we're not talking La-a. 2. 30+ minute wait times for scheduled appointments, and the pleasure of paying for parking. 3. DIAGNOSIS YELLED VIA THE NURSE OVER THE NURSE'S LINE - real great example of excellent patient/bedside manner. 4. A $50 no-show fee? First time? Honest mistake? Really? Stupid little front office twit laughing at me? Really?? YOUR DOCTORS ARE REPLACEABLE. THERE ARE 105 PEDIATRICIANS WITHIN FIVE MILES OF MY HOUSE. YOU JUST LOST A CLIENT AND IT'S SAFE TO ASSUME IT'S NOT YOUR FIRST.

I started taking my first child to CWC in 2010, as a newborn. I now have 3 children there and I am still as happy as ever! I also personally know a handful of people who use CWC and are also very happy. In an earlier review, someone stated that the reviews given for CWC must be given by employees. Not true. I do not work at CWC, nor do I know anyone who works there. I am a SAHM who drives 30-45 to bring my children to this pediatrician because they are that good. I have never experienced anything but excellent service from ANYONE at CWC. My children see Dr. Loventhal. However, we have seen other doctors on sick visits. They are all excellent doctors!

We are first time parents, and our son has been diagnosed with a serious rare genetic disease. Most children are not diagnosed until they are 10-12-14 months of age, but with the help of Dr. Mekelburg and the team at Children's Wellness, our son was diagnosed at 6 weeks, making him eligible to reap the benefits of experimental treatment. We have had to coordinate specialists and tests, and everyone at the office has played a part in making this as easy as possible for our family. Everyone there knows us, and greets us with a smile, from reception, to nursing, to the physicians. Dr. Mekelburg saved our son's life, literally, and did so with the help of her team. She was kind and very thorough, yet not alarmist. She will consult with other physicians without hesitation, and has done tons of her own reseach on our son's rare disease. She takes all the time we need to answer questions. We have never felt rushed or ignored, and we get in for our sick appointments with ease every time we call. I LOVE that a person answers the phone when you call! Bottom line, our son would not be a happy, healthy, thriving little boy had we not had the good fortune to work with Dr. Mekelburg and the team at Children's Wellness. They are amazing!

Our family has been extremly happy with this practice. We feel at home with the doctors and nurses. Information is always explained in detail and it is obvious that they are advocates for our children. We are always able to seen the same day for sick appointments and receive feedback quickly when we have questions. We have been with the practice since they opened and plan to be there until our children are too old to be seen by them!

Such a great practice! Phones are answered quickly, staff is kind & loving, environment is clean & most of all, doctors are WONDERFUL! I love that phone calls are returned promptly and that we can always get a same-day sick appointment. My children's health is so important - I can always count on great advice & guidance from any of the doctors or nurses.

I am in love with this practice and can't say enough wonderful things about the doctors, the staff, their clean office and short wait times. I am thrilled I finally found this office. My son was incredibly sick his first year -- Dr. Segal was beyond incredible to us with her stellar medical advice, but also as a cheerleader. She went above and beyond calling us on her way to and from work each day; just to check in with us. Her staff was there with hugs, stickers and lollipops. They made calls on our behalf to specialists and hospitals and were truly amazing. And it is not just in a crisis - in the year's since when eveyone in our house has been healthy - they are just as helpful. Children's Wellness is really the only choice in town!!!!

This office is terrible! The receptionist is extremely rude and not helpful at all! Last time I called the office about some information and Sarah would not help, nor would she point me in the right direction. She seems very miserable at her job and I do not need that when going to a doctor's office! The doctors at the practice were helpful, but not overly friendly either. I think you should feel welcome at a pediatrician's office, especially since we are putting our children in their care. I would look for another practice!!

One of the doctors at the practice had me in tears about my child's weight. And as a new mother, I needed advice, not a lecture! I felt like I was being drilled about everything that I did at home and that nothing was good enough. I think the doctor's could be a little more caring when delivering information. Most of the staff is friendly, although, the front desk person was not so nice because my insurance didn't cover all of a visit and she was rude asking about the payment in front of other patients. Also, I cannot believe I had to pay to park in an office building in Sandy Springs, it's not like it is located downtown or something.

I started taking my son to CWC at 15 months because of compounding disapoinements at our previous practice. I have been extremely happy with our experience at CWC. The staff is very friendly and helpful, I have never had to wait more than 15 minutes to see a doctor. They are able to fit me in for sick visits on short notice. The doctors are very sharp and friendly. I especially liked Dr. Meckelburg, who really takes the time to explain things.
