I have used Peerless Cleaners for both dry cleaning and alterations for many years with satisfactory results. However, I recently used Peerless for alterations and found out they have a new seamstress. She seemed confident in her ability to alter my clothes so I figured I'd give her a shot - big mistake! One of my pants was a simple hem and they came out with one leg longer than the other. When I tried them on and noticed the difference, the ladies tried to tell me that maybe one of my legs is longer than the other (excuses, excuses...), so I said let's lay it out on the table and measure it - they did so, and you could see clear as day that one leg was noticeably longer than the other by almost half an inch. How does a professional seamstress make such a rookie mistake? They offered to fix it at no charge (really, I would hope there wouldn't be a job to fix your own mistake), but given that they couldn't successfully manage a simple hem (and they had also made one of the legs in another garment wider than the other - so there were many issues with their work), I chose to take my business to a more capable tailor elsewhere rather than run the risk of damaging my clothes beyond repair. Take my advice and steer clear of this place for alterations - the new seamstress is not as good as the lady they had previously and they do nothing but offer excuses for poor workmanship rather than simply apologizing and fixing the issue - or better yet, getting it right the first time.
