“The Legend of Coach-N-Four started…..”Deep in the Heart of TEXAS”. Three generations of serving guests like family. Coach-N-Four’s name came from the ole west stagecoach rumbling across the pioneer carrying travelers from coast to coast stopping along the way at “swing” stations that lasted about 10-15 minutes then “home” stations with good home cooking and overnight accommodations. The pioneer concept of Coach-N-Four suits the entrepreneurial spirit of the first American,.. thus the name “Coach-N-Four”.
The original Coach-N-Four started in Pensacola, September of 1979 with Joyce & Bill Compton. The Legacy has been carried on by their daughter & son-in-law, Donna & Greg Guilford. Donna and Greg bought the business in the early 1980’s. Donna learned from her Mom, who learned from her Mom, Esther, the importance of treating guests like family. So come on in and relax, put your feet up and “take a load off”. Momma’s in the house!
In the early days, Gran (Esther) was behind the register taking money and Donna was working the floor. Greg was “hand-cutting” the beef and making the Coach-N-Four’s famous “Hook’em” sauce to reel in the customers.
Donna was meeting & greeting the guests like family coming to her house. She greeted them, sat them, served them, made their drinks and bussed the table when they left. Whatever needed to be done, she did it. Greg, making sure the kitchen ran as smooth as a well oiled machine.
Donna and Greg are always striving for the correct mix of Quality and Quantity with the tradition of serving “mouth watering” steaks and fresh seafood for 3 1/2 decades. Come on in and enjoy the Western atmosphere and family friendly restaurant.
After waiting for 30 mins on a weekday we were finally seated to an almost empty room. Not sure why it took so long but my only guess is that the lady at the register could not multitask to well. Thought our service would be fast by then since there was not many tables to be served...WRONG. After we got our salad it was pretty much the end of our service. We did not receive our bread or our sherbert as those did around us then everything came out all at once. My husbands steak was over cooked and we had to ask the waitress for refills on our drink; she never once asked. The lack of service, not so great food, no heat in the winter and rude cashier will stop us from ever coming back. The place is NOT what it used to be. We also forgot to present our coupon on checkout so we turned around(only a few minutes from when we checked out) and figured it would not be a big deal with them honoring our coupon but the tender said she was not able to help us out(Total BS). Don't waste your time driving to that shack.

Heard good things about this restaurant for several years - will not go back and do not recommend it to anyone. Even though we went early and were one of first in, the service was slow and poor; the food was average and greatly over-priced for what we received.

This is a place where I've not had the same experience twice. Sometimes its ok and sometimes not so hot. It's worth a try because its somewhere different not in the main stream dining locations.

Old rustic style restaurant. The steaks are definately what you come here for. Wish the service and salad was a little better but, it's worth it for the steaks.

For the casual nicely prepared meal with a flare this is one place that never disappoints. I had a steak dinner that was made to perfection with all the usuall trimmings, but you can get it the way you like too!

Ever since I moved to this side of Florida I have been very disappointed in what this area considers seafood. Everything seems to be fried and I prefer steamed, but Coach and Four has the absolute best fried shrimp and oysters I have ever had. Lightly battered and good size. There steaks are excellent also.
