Avoid this place at all costs. I chose them as my dentist through my insurance based on their location and on my first visit they said that I needed to have my teeth scaled using lasers and the cost would be over $1600 to me AFTER insurance. I declined that option and said I just wanted a normal cleaning and they refused to do anything other than the $1600 cleaning. Now I have to either pay them or go out of network and see a different dentist. They won't get a penny of my money and I've already started a complaint with my insurance company.

Coast Dental North Druid Hills is HORRIBLE. The staff are rude, there are long wait times, they will bill you for things that they won't tell you about upfront nor explain once they appear on your bill. Last time I was in for a cleaning they informed me that they lost my my xrays that they took the previous visit and would have to take more. I said no and they almost refused to do my cleaning. Don't go there!

I made an appointment for a yearly exam and cleaning with this office two weeks ahead so that I can work it in my work schedule. The day of the appointment, I get a phone call and am told that the doctor had an "emergency" and will not be able to see me at the time I scheduled. I was willing to be flexible and understanding and agree to change my appointment time to two hours earlier that same day. When I come in to my appointment (on time) I am told by her staff that "our doctor left" and that she is now calling me to let me know that they don't have anyone to see me. Not only did they inconvenience me once, but they had me drive all the way to their office and giggled while telling me I won't be seen by the doctor today (I still don't understand why that's funny). I will never return to this office and will never recommend it to anyone! If you want to be treated with respect, go elsewhere.

I was a patient at this location for over 5 years. In addition to regular cleanings, I had major bridge work done here totaling over $7,000. After several consultations and reviewing the options I chose the more expensive Captek gold option that came with a 5 yr. warranty. The bridges on both sides began to fall apart within 2-3 years. The structure was still holding, it was the porcelain that cracked, and I was convinced to leave it alone- after all re-doing them was time consuming. And since I was still within the 5 years, I could wait and see. Well, at the 5 yr. point, they had broken even further and I was told by the office and the Dr. that there would be no problem in getting it replaced under the warranty. Coast corporate then had to "approve" the claim, and I was told they submitted it and I'd hear from them. I called back, waited, called back, waited for four months. One excuse after another, but NEVER did the office call me; every time I called they said they would let me know. They finally declined the replacement stating I had gone too long between cleanings. As if a cleaning would have an effect on the durabiliy of the bridges. Remember, BOTH of these have fallen apart. Needless to say, I am having the work re-done at another Dr. And considering filing a small claims suit.

Awful experience with this office. Gave me misinformation about billing in order to get me to undergo costly surgery, did not respond to my attempts to get an explanation about bills and then threatened to report me to a credit bureau when a genuine dispute existed. Office is generally disinterested and will not return your calls. Avoid at all costs!

I go there because of my insurance, for 6+ years. I must say that in the past few years, they have gotten much better. Current dentist is friendly and knowledgeable. Office staff has improved a lot. They used to try to sell you extras, I have not seen that in a while.

Very UNFRIENDLY STAFF, ESP. FRONT DESK ATTENDANT. DENTIST BARELY LOOKED AT MY TOOTH AND WAS BILLED FOR THAT. FINALLY, REQUESTED A DUPLICATE X-RAY AND WAS TOLD TO COME FOR PICK UP AT A SPECIFIC HOUR. TOOK THE ATTENDANT ALMOST 45MIN TO GIVE IT TO ME. REALLY POOR.

These guys are clearly in this business to bilk you for as much money above what your insurance will pay. Their specialty is the add-on fees: bio-hazard fee, cancer screening fee, the classic "fluoride" trick, etc. This health care provider is not looking out for your interest and don't trust their advice when it comes to what services you need. Basic preventative dental cleaning was acceptable, but the stress of waiting in their office and the vigilance required to get out with your wallet kills the experience.

I never thought that going to a dentist office would make me feel like I had to have my anti-car-salesman guard up, but was I wrong. The first time I went, I was told I needed to buy all of these things (which I didn't), the second time they did $300 worth of work which later I was told by a trusted endodontist that it was BS and they shouldn't have done it, and the last straw- they called to ask me if I could shift my appointment, I said yes and I'd call back when I knew my schedule better. I called and they said the earliest appt available was 6 months away and they couldn't help me. I don't get how they can stay in business with all of these horrible reviews and experiences people are having! Please don't waste your time. If you go there because it's the only place your crappy insurance plan covers, just go somewhere else... it is much more worth it to pay full price at another office, in fact you'll probably save money.

they are the worst. I only go to them because my insurance makes me. I always have to wait a very long time for an appt and the service is terrible from start to finish. Very unprofessional.

I showed up for an appointment. Waited 25 minutes after I told them I had to be somewhere after the appointment. Asked if I was going to be seen or should come back and was told "you should probably just reschedule...I didn't bother.

I chose this dental provider without doing much research first, and it was a terrible mistake. After waiting 3 months for an appointment, I arrived to find a dirty office, a receptionist who could barely speak over the smacking of her bubble gum, and a pretty rude staff. I waited about 30 minutes (along with a room full of other unhappy patients who'd been waiting a long time), had my xrays, and then they tried to sell me $200 worth of extra services (including a $14 tube of toothpaste). When I refused those services, I was told the hygienist didn't have time to clean my teeth because she'd taken several walk-in patients that morning. The hygienist was actually sitting six feet away from me with another patient, and she and one of her assistants were talking about me as if I weren't right there in front of them. When I protested that I'd made an appointment for a cleaning *months* ago, they told me I could either wait 2-3 hours or come back another day.

Had a cavity and seemed to be repaired ok, but they kept trying to sell me a $300 tooth brush. It was pushed to the point where it made me as uncomfortable as my cavity.

I have been several times -- keep going back only because it is on my insurance plan and it is close to work. It is time to change. There is always a long wait, staff is unprofessional and the dentist seems like he does not have much experience.

Made an appointment for a cleaning...came in and they looked at my teeth and said that I needed to make an appointment for a cleaning...that this was a consultation (not covered by insurance, thank you very much). They do this so that they can really double bill you...no thanks!
