The first time I went for an appointment, I waited in the waiting area for an hour and a half before being seen. I recieved a brief consultation and was asked to sign a treatment plan which included an electric toothbrush for $130. I never recieved care that day, I was asked to make an appointment later for the cleaning. When I went for the cleaning, the receptionist tried to do my x-rays for me, but only got half-way done before she asked another person for help, who also seemed clueless. I went in and was told that I had a small crack in my tooth which eventually led to a crown, a night guard, and ultimately a root canal. I was very distressed because the hygenist fitted me for my crown, then later lost the mold and told me that I remembered wrong and she had never done the mold. She also couldn't find my night guard I had paid for, but my dentist had already told me that it had come in. Also, my husband went there and they told him he had an infection in his gums and it would cost $1500 to treat him. We sought a second opinion and he actually was treated with just a deep cleaning and a prescription mouth wash for a total of $60 out of pocket. I wonder now if I should have believed anything they told me. I have heard that Dr. Patel is a good dentist, but that doean't make up for Coast's policies or an inadequate staff.

I had problems with this office overbilling the insurance company and our family. Two and a half years after we stopped using this dentist, we received a huge bill with no explanation of the services rendered. The local office blames the corporate office and the corporate office blames the local office.

This dentist office is alright. I go regularly so i am used to everything they do. The dentists themselves are friendly and easy to get along with. The cleansing and such for the teeth is not really my favorite experience but it is alright and gets over with quickly.

This location is nothing but a rip-off. First time appointments are scheduled for a consultation and they only schedule the cleaning after you get there. They sit you down with a written consultation of services that they feel you need. Of course most of these are things that are questionable as to whether you really need them. They are there only to make as much off of you and your insurance company as possible. Would not go to one of these Dentist in a Box again.
