PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THE DELI! Despite my philosophy to never judge a book by its cover, this cover tells it all. Against my better judgement, I decided to purchase deli meat from the farmers market to save me a trip to Publix or Krogers and boy did I regret it. I'll spare you the gruesome details, just take my word for it! STAY AWAY FROM THIS DELI!

Unless you're strictly limiting yourself to Hispanic and Asian foods, it will be extremely difficult for you to make this your only grocery store. The deli counter, for instance, just has ham and a couple types of Mexican cheese; basic pantry items like beef and chicken stock are just not available. But, what they do have they generally have a great selection of. The produce, fish, and meat are all incredibly fresh, with a wide selection, and excellent prices. And you can find many uncommon ingredients here for authentic foreign cuisine. Most of the workers are immigrants; they're not unhelpful but many don't speak much English. This has never bothered me, since I rarely need help with my shopping. (The managers are generally fluent in English, if you do need help.) Come here for bulk shopping and for specialty ingredients, and then round out your pantry at your regular grocery store.

The quality of the meat and produce is great, however the service is terrible. You will be hard pressed to find someone that speaks English. This makes attempting to buy seafood a headache. I went there recently to purchase several items. I also decided to buy oysters, priced at 99cents per pound. After the clerk weighed them, one of the managers came over and told him to charge me $1.79 per pound instead because the price just went up, regardless of what they were advertised as. I explained to him that this was not good business practice, and asked if he would risk losing a loyal customer over such a small amount of money. He stated "If I lose a customer, then I lose a customer." I was stunned. At that point I dropped everything and vowed never to spend another dime there again. This is typical of the level of customer service from this place. I would rather pay more with someone that values me as a customer.

Farmers Market sells for chip prices vegetables and fruits. Twice (for less than a year) I had very bad experience with fish and meat. I do not suggest buying it there. In order to get reimbursed, they will make you to bring spoiled food back, to proof that you do not lie. Can you imagine keeping spoiled food in your refrigerator or car and not for one day if you live far from the store and can not come back the same or next day? Staff is rude and very often do not understand English.

After buying here I ended up having a pest problem at home, lots of little bugs in some products and even in the vegetables. When they have specials is because the merchandise, fruits and veggies are already going bad or about to expire. There are more pleasurable and cheaper places to shop in the area. And the manager is a careless person with an attitude. And I won't even start in the cleanliness of the place....

I recently moved from Smyrna to Marietta, and will still drive the 30 minutes to buy my produce and meat. The market does smell a bit fishy when you first walk in, but it is due to the large, live fish tanks at the fish counter. The price of produce is unmatchable, and everything is very fresh. If you are looking for foods that have a lot of additives for a longer shelf life, don't go here. The meat/chicken/seafood prices are great too. I have never been disappointed shopping her. There is a lot of non-English speaking staff, so you are better off looking for a specific item on your own than asking for help.

"cobbshopper" is a moron. Fish is fresh and at very reasonable pricing. Beef/pork/poultry are fresh as well. Walmart is a place for "cobbshopper", because you will find a chemical infused vacum meet that looks bright red, like it was just cut, although 2 weeks old. Who are you kidding? Eat at Fast food place then, if it makes you better, because you don't know what you eat. I recommend for people that know fresh, healthy and food that is not full of additives shop at this market place!

I'm a big fan of Thai, Indian, and Lebanese cuisine and regularly cook recipes from those places. I was so glad to stumble upon this farmers market one Saturday. While they are not as big as other farmer's markets in the Atlanta area, they certainly hold their own, and you cant beat them on some prices and the freshness of their products.
