We had a huge multi- project done with CCC. From the beg. Jake was professional, knowledgable, and attentive to our requests. He explained his insurance, lic., and exactly how the job would progress. The AutoCad type drawings were spot on and apprec.. It gave us vision on paper what it would look like when finished. We got the CCC special. A beaut. 32' composite deck with 20' of it covered screen.Everything about the deck is top notch. You'll see similar ones on CCC website. We also had a load bearing wall removed to create an open floor plan. Jake had an engineer come in.They drew up the plans to ensure proper support was used. Most GC won't go this far. We had our Master Bathroom gutted. All the contractors Jake used performed quality clean work.We had all of our windows replaced and had vinyl siding put on house. CCC performed all the work in clean professional manner. Master Carpenter Dave and his crew were the best. He treats your project as if he was doing work on his own house. If something went up and it wasn't perfect, he'd make it right before continuing. The one thing I've learned over the years with GC work, you basicaly get what you pay for. CCC will not be your cheapest quote on a project. When all is said & done you'll realize why he was a little more than the next GC. I have peace of mind knowing that I won't have any future issues with the work I had done. Give CCC a call and you'll see why CCC has the reviews you read here. 2nd to none.

Thanks for the great review. It was a pleasure working with you guys! We really do appreciate your business and we look forward to serving you again in the future. From Jake and the rest of the crew at Colonial.
My husband and I used Colonial Craftsman Construction for two bathroom remodels. Jake and his crew were dependable, courtious, professional, saw our vision of what we wanted and they certainly knew what they were doing. I would highly recommend Colonial Craftsman to my family and friends. When it's time to remodel our kitchen Jake will be the one for the job. A 5 star company!!! RJM

From start to finish everything about CCC is top notch professional. I contacted them via email and got a phone call within 30 mins. They set an appointment for a quote and were on time to the minute. The work was excellent and the job site was left clean. I had the metal support posts on my 14 foot high deck replaced with pressure treated timbers. The footings, carpentry and the project manager's additional suggestions and execution were above and beyond. At this point the deck is probably more sturdy than the house itself. I will be a repeat customer. Jake (owner), Cornel (project manager) and Eric (carpenter ++) - you did a great job!

Contracted with Colonial Craftsmen to finish our basement. Their quote was in line with others I received. The best comment I can give came from my wife. She said, "They must have done a good job, I didn't hear you complain once about anything." Being retired, I was home to monitor the daily work progress and was very pleased with all the work. The final result is excellent and my wife is very pleased. Jake made good suggestions and was open to my ideas on others. We developed a plan to move forward and as mentioned, the result is excellent. Any questions were answered quickly and change orders implemented without impact to the schedule. I would recommend Colonial Craftsmen to everyone and currently have them doing additional work.

They took care of replacing a complete brick wall on our home. They were actually under budget. Their masons were very professional and did a great job cleaning up. Would absolutely use them again.

We are in the process of finishing up our second major renovation project with Colonial Craftsmen. Once again, we are completely satisfied and will use them again in the future.

I'm a Personal Assistant & have worked with many contractors over the years. Jake & Cornell were a complete JOY to work with. Jake was prompt, polite, knowledgeable and fun during the initial estimating & decision process. Cornell, Proj. Mgr, was great at letting me know which crew would show up, when as there were painters, floor guys, and door installers all coming to the house to do work. Everyone showed up either on time or early and was extremely professional. If I had any questions, I had no problem getting them answered ASAP. There is more exterior work to be done on the home and I can assure you, Jake & his crew will be the ones doing it. I highly recommend Colonial Craftsmen Construction!

Invited Colonial Craftsman to bid on a small job and when we turned them down because they could not get started earlier and were at TWICE the cost of other bidders, they shot back a curt email on the reasons we were wrong for turning them down. Next thing we know, county code enforcement gets a "called complaint" and stops by our house in an attempt to slow down the contractor we selected. Didn't work but Colonial Craftsman showed their true spiteful colors.

These folks invited us to bid on a 428sf deck rebuild on the back of their house in Dekalb County. After submitting our proposal, they did email back to let us know they went with the low bidder. Our reply email never once stated that they were "wrong for turning us down". In the email I only asked that they research the company they're going to hire to verify that the company is licensed, insured, and reputable. In the email I also included links to the GA state licensing board and the GA corporations site so they could easily verify this information. A few weeks later I had the opportunity to look at a project right next door to them. While looking at that project, I had a clear view of the deck that was being rebuilt. At that time it was being framed and the work that I saw was not per industry standard, not per code, and was borderline dangerous. Also, there was no permit displayed in the front yard meaning that this work would never be inspected. This put me in quite a predicament - Do I do nothing and pretend that all is well knowing their new deck is unsafe, or do I contact the county and request that an inspector review the work being done? Not taking this decision lightly, I called and spoke with other contractors to get their opinions. They all agreed that I should contact the county, which I did. If this makes me the bad guy for doing the right thing, so be it, but I do sleep well at night knowing that they will have a safer deck because of me. Codes are in place for a reason and are to be followed. Also, there are certain types of projects that require permits, such as deck rebuilds. In those cases permits are not an option or something you may or may not get, they are required, period. Lastly, while looking at the deck from the neighbors house, I was able to tell that the scope of work that we bid was much different than the work being done (we had included many items like new footings, replacing the old rusted deck posts, etc) which means that our proposal was an apples to oranges comparison based on the other bid they received. So in the end, if you're looking for a company that will do the job right, by the book, and for a fair price, give us a call. If you're looking for someone to do it for the lowest possible price, I respectfully request that you call someone else. Jake Lisac - owner
The guys showed up but they were late. They also were rude and I felt all they cared about was the money. Way to spendy for a nomal person to buy.

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. However, your review leaves me more than a bit confused as I don't know who you are or what project you're referring to. Please contact me at your earliest convenience at 404-723-8062 to discuss your feelings about our company as I feel there has been some kind of misunderstanding. I'm sorry that you feel that "all they cared about was the money" because if you've in fact worked with us, you'd know that's not the case at all. We regularly go above and beyond to make sure that what we do is done the best way we know how. The last line "way to spendy for a normal person to buy" leads me to believe that you haven't worked with us. If that is the case then maybe you had us provide an estimate for you, which is possible, however, I am the one who does the estimates, not "guys" as you refer to in your first sentence. And if I'm running late, which I do my best not to but with Atlanta traffic it does happen, I call ahead to let our clients know that I'm running behind. I look forward to speaking with you and getting this straightened out. Regards. Jake Lisac - Owner
Jake and his team are true professionals. This was our first renovation and they walked us through each step. They showed up on time, and kept us aware of all updates. I will use Colonial Craftsmen Construction again in the future. D. Coleman

We recently contracted Colonial Craftsmen Construction to add a screen porch to an existing deck and construct a new deck. Jake and his team were very professional throughout the entire project. We had a large home exterior company quote the job as well, but even though their quote was less, the consultant did not give very much detail. We appreciated Jake explaining the entire process covering every detail of the project. We knew we had chosen the correct contractor, when we came home after Colonial Craftsmen Construction crew removed the old railing and step from our existing deck and there was no evidence they had been there, except for the missing steps and railing. Colonial Craftsmen Construction is the tidiest construction company I have every worked with. During the project we made several changes and additions. Peter, the project manager, always wanted to make sure the screen porch and deck were exactly what we wanted. Everyone on the project was very accommodating. We love our new screen porch and deck and will not hesitate to recommend Colonial Craftsmen Construction to all our friends and neighbors that want to have a professional and accommodating contractor work on their homes.

A kitchen pipe burst had water damage throughout my 1st floor & basement. In getting a 2nd bid from my insurance company's preferred vendor, Colonial Craftsmen was chosen hands down! In lieu of my insurance company's preferred vendor assessment (that was highly suspected of looking to minimize the cost to my insurance company @ my expense) Jake stood firm with his honest recommendation in replacing my hardwoods vs. just cheaply sanding them down due to extensive subflooring water retention. Jake went to bat for me & convinced my insurance company that his remedy was the better. Now I'm getting new hardwood floors! Being a "Clark Howard loving" security alarm broker (I know it's a shameless plug but see www.birddogrocks.com ) I by nature shop companies that make me shine with their credibility and quality. Jake fits this profile & shines bright - Colonial Craftsmen is a keeper!!

I can not say enough good things about Colonial Craftsmen! I had a small repair job on the hardwood floors in my home which was made difficult because both the builder and the flooring company were out of business. I had no information about the manufacturer of the original flooring. But, Colonial Craftsmen fixed what had caused the problem and then kept searching until they found a perfect match to repair the damaged flooring. Through out this process Peter, my project manager, kept me informed about what was happening. The workmen were always courteous, professional and on time. Jake and Peter were very thorough in explaining procedures and costs. Most important their work was top quality and I am a satisfied, happy customer. Ellen in Suwanee
