"This is in regard to a extremely rude experience I had with a Vet hospital called Companion Care Veterinary Hospital in Rancho Bernardo. We went in with our new puppy to find out why he was vomiting and had diarrhea. We were misinformed about how our dog may have heartworm and that it must take medication for it. The Vet and there staff chose to concentrate on our place of Fear (that something is terribly wrong with our puppy). When we found out that our dog did not have heartworm and wouldn't need the medication, I called the Vet Hospital to ask for a refund. I was treated with an unbelievable amount of rudeness and disrespect. I have never been treated in this manner by anyone. I couldn't believe a privately owned business would ever treat anyone this way. They said they would not take back the medicine even thou there was nothing written in any of there pamphlets about no returns. I then recieved a letter telling us they wanted to terminate our client/patient relationship. As if we would ever even think of using there services ever again. I recommend to anyone who is looking for true sympathy and caring for there pet to go anywhere but here!!! Companion Care Veterinary Hospital 16588 Bernardo Center Drive #160 San Diego, CA 92128

I live in Penesquitos and found that this vet beats both of the locals hands down. One of the biggest differences is that she clearly accepts and likes kids. My daughter loves animals so I wanted her to be involved in the car of the dog (she has a cat now). She is very relaxed and this tone is set throughout the whole office. Refreshing!

Companion Care pulled the old "bait and switch" technique with me and my family. We scheduled to board our dogs there during the holidays, and they quoted $11.00 per day, with no $43.00 exam necessary. When we arrived, they said the $43.00 exam was necessary and the charge per day was $17.25. We were stuck, we had nowhere else to take our dogs. Upon picking up our dogs at the end of their 4 day stay, my dog had a medium sized open lesion on her side that they said was not caused by them. It was not there when she arrived. She smelled, had dandruff, and her doggy bed smelled of urine.

Having been taking my pets (2 dogs) to Dr. Satowski for many years now, I can honestly say she and her staff are fabulous! Appointments are easy to get especially in an emergency and an after-hours phone service is most comforting when something just doesn't seem quite right with either of them (the dogs that is). Dr. Satowski's practice at Companion Care is like the old days when vets actually took the time to get to know both her patients and their families.
