I called Contemporary Upholstery & Repair and spoke with Jim Egan, Owner,re: tear in my auto convertible top. He asked me to stop by and he would patch the top so that it would not leak. I asked him the cost and he informed there would be no charge. Jim has restored my faith in good customer service. I highly recommend this friendly and reliable company!

I found out about Contemporary Upholstery and repair when I went on google! I had accidentally punctured a hole in the car was calling all over town to see if anybody took last minute appointment! They were the NICEST guys!!! The spot on the car seat was in a weird spot. The guys were able to put some kind of glue and material and they didn't even charge me! They are really nice folks and I would go to them again if I needed anything else!

I had a problem with my convertible top. When I called Jim he told me to come in to take a look at it. He quickly identified it as a problem with the liner, but did not have the parts to fix it. He walked me through how I could fix it myself and then he had an idea how he could fix it for me. It took about an hour and he used some materials from his shop to fix it. When I asked how much, he said it was more fun than work and told me there would not be any charge for the work. We tested his work and it not only worked fine, but looks great. I found his business on Kudzu and am very happy this sight was so accurate. If we have any future upholstery needs, Jim will be the one to do it.

I called four headliner shops for our 1999 Olds Intrigue. (I'm one of those who prefers to just take care of my old things instead of buying new.) My husband listened to me inquire with each company and told me to go with Jim because he was the most knowledgeable and articulate. When we brought the car in Jim said the headliner was only falling down in the rear 1-2" and was still good enough to be glued back up. He said he wouldn't feel right putting in a new headliner when this one was still good to go with a little "touch up" work. After 5 minutes of work, I was good to go and Jim wouldn't bill me. Wow! This man has integrity and is definitely old school -- providing customer service that is top notch and a rare find these days. The headliner in my car looks good as new and Jim has a customer for life!!!

Professional operation with great workmanship done promptly. I'm extremely happy with what we had done and the price we paid. Next project is to replace our Chevy Silverado seats. I have compared other shops, but this one has earned my business and kept it.

My 20 year 1992 Mercedes SL500 was in mint condition with only 40,000,...except the soft-top was starting to show its age. Wanting the best installation possible to maintain the integrity of the vehicle I was very caution when choosing an installer. After much research I selected Contemporary Upholstery & Repair! Jim and his staff completed the job on time, in budget...and the results were spectacular! My car now looks like it was just driven off the showroom floor!

I love my car..but the rear leather seat had been torn up and I searched online forever to find a remedy to fit a compact sports car. There was Nothing I liked! I then checked another auto upholstery shop and it was way..expensive! Then I heard about the Auto Upholstery Shop on Peachtree Industrial, and called them. They talked me in to stopping by..and I am SO Glad I visited them today!!! : ) After an amazingly quick new seat (looking like new leather)...they also took care of improving the entire look of the rest of the car's leather with a product that matched perfectly. I am thrilled!!! They were all super nice, knowledgeable, helpful..and the price was half of what I would have paid at any of the competition. Highest quality work and materials...best price..most efficient (completed while I had a short wait). I give them my highest recommendation! If you need new leather (or other) auto seats...This is THE place to go. I now love my car even....more! (Thank you Contemp Upholstery Repair.)

Jim Egan's service is absolutely best-in-class. From my first visit to consult with Jim about my options, to driving away with new convertible top, the service was outstanding. 100% satisfied customer. Jim is friendly, honest and meticulous with his work. The new roof is far better than what was on the car originally; the quality of the material is great, new glass, trim framing the glass/edge - first class job. I won't mention any dealer names, but I know what this job would have cost me had I brought it to the Audi dealer. With Jim, out the door, the new roof cost me 51% LESS than what the dealer would have charged. Also worth mentioning, I dropped my car off on a Friday morning and Jim was kind enough to drop me to the Marta station. By lunchtime, he called to say my car was ready! I hopped on Marta after work and Jim was there to meet me at the station. What an incredible person, wonderful service and a first class job. Thank you Jim.

I found Contemporary Upholstery and Repair through reviews just like this one. And I've got to tell you, since I found Jim, I have been a happy camper. From the very get go, I found Jim to be friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. He lives his work. Everytime I think about selling my 1999 VW cabrio, I do something to it to make it seem new to me again. So, I had Jim put a new top on. His price was the most reasonable out of several others that I checked. They did a magnificent job. I would recommend this shop and I wouldn't use anyone else.

This was the 2nd shop I went to for an estimate. At the 1st shop the owner got in my car with a lit cigarette and when I asked him to please not smoke in my car he upped the estimate from $85.00 to $250. per sun visor and walked away without looking at me again. I could not believe someone could be so unprofessional. Then I found this shop while googling and read the Kudzu reviews. I called and spoke to Jim on the phone and he asked me to call before I came which I did and he waited at the shop for me to arrive. He took 30 minutes of his time and did the repairs for me at $0 cost. I did not even tell him about the 1st shop I tried. It's very nice deal with someone who truly cares about his customers. Keep up the great work Jim! I guarantee that if I ever need the services you provide again I will be back.
