I recently purchased a 15 year old home that needed basic upgrades and repairs. Not familiar with the area, my realtor recommended I call James. I have been burned by other repairmen in the past, so I was apprehensive to hire anyone, but the work needed to be done. James was quick to communicate with me. He showed up on time, remained professional and provided excellent work. He even pointed out to me a leak that my inspector had missed. Had I used my tub, most likely I would have had a large, expensive problem . The rate was extremely fair. He has knowledge and experience in many areas. I was so impressed with him, I hired him for another project.

I've used them at both home & my commercial building and they have always come through with great work and will promptly correct anything you may not be satisfied with the first time.

I hired this young man to remodel my bathroom. His tile work was just okay. He installed the shower faucet incorrectly and the on off handle was installed upside down. I repeatedly tried to get him to rectify the faucet as it flew off everytime I turned the shower on. After over 2 months, I finally sent him a certified letter requesting him to fix the things that were wrong within 10 days....he didnt even call. Finally I hired a plumber. Mr. Cunningham's men made a huge mess on my carpet, left a dusty mess all over the house from the sheet rock work, broke things and did not stand behind their work. Dont hire this young man. His boyish looks are decieving.

Hi, this is James Cunningham Owner of Cunningham Construction. The shower handle and spigot were in perfect working order and demonstrated to her daughter The overseer of the project. (she was out of town)When she called regarding this matter she told me that both her boyfriend and some other guy was fiddeling with it before she had any problems and I told her I back MY WORKMANSHIP 100% but after someone else comes in and breaks something its not covered under workmanship warranty. But the part would be. She found this unacceptable. I answered many irate phone calls but she just wouldn't talk to me in a calm polite manner so I stopped answering the phone. As far as my tile work being "just ok" it Is what she paid for. 3,000.00 for a 100% complete remodel of her bathroom ALL MATERIALS INCLUDED, and this included re-sheet rocking as well. Ms Hendrix never spoke of wanting a fancy design until we were laying the tile and she didn't want to pay the extra for it. I knew there wasn't enough money in the job for any extras but did them anyways trying to appease her. I only accepted the job to keep my guys working, and I made no profit what so ever wich we were all aware of upfront, yet she still tried to get un-contracted work included.
Thought I was getting a professional. He came in very polite and said he had a "crew"(of 1) and contract etc. I paid alot of money but didn't get the quality of work. Many things in the contract were not done, other work had to be redone. I was tired of all the back and forth so I just paid them to go. would not use or recommend them to anyone.

Hi, I am James Cunningham owner of cunningham construction. I am very suprised to hear this coming from this woman, it was clear from the begining that she was on a tight budget so she asked us to do some "cutting corners" so to speak. She asked me to have a minimal crew of two people come out so thats what she got (although there were two days I bought out another employee to help) She got a remodel of her kitchen, and basement, water heater install, plumbing new front entryway door, tile etc.... I could go on and on all for 2,000.00! not alot of money considering all she had done, and she continuously changed what she wanted done. If anything needed to be redone she should have contacted us as all of our work comes with a one year warranty I havent heard from her since the day her and her husband paid us grinning ear to ear about how good the work looked.
These guys do great work and guarantee it. They did some trim repair on my house earlier this year, and went out of their way to find matching pieces for my 80 plus year old home. They also came back and fixed some damage that had occurred through no fault of their own and didn't charge anything extra. Very friendly and totally honest. You will not be disappointed with their services!
