We had the challenge of coordinating work on our property from across the country. Once we found DPS, our worries were gone. Todd and Chris took care of everything. They answered all of our questions and did a great job of communicating how the work was going. They also sent us photos so that we could see the finished result. We are so pleased with the outcome and some of the neighbors have already commented on how good the house looks. Todd and Chris were true to their word and they finished the project on time. The original estimate was very accurate and they were quick to let us know of any issues that came up during the work. There were no surprises on the final invoice. They really went above and beyond to help us make this happen from 1700 miles away. It is refreshing to have great customer service and a quality product.

Dear JBurke, Your example demonstrates the reason that "Relationship" is a key in our mission as a full-service renovation contractor. For you to trust us to complete the work, and you to be 1700 miles away says volumes about the relationship we have built. My goal is to provide the same service and level of satisfaction whether our Customer is on-site or on the other side of the world. It is very important that you be comfortable with us and our ability to not only provide what you asked, but also offer some ideas on how you were able to save some bucks and get things done quickly. Take care, and let us know when you have additional needs, Todd
Interviewed 3 contactors before TODD for our remodel which included removing walls, cabinets, granite in kitchen and 2 baths, gas line, and custom building 2 cabinets to fit my needs. You will not find ANYONE like TODD and CHRIS- they are versed in many areas and take great pride in their work. The job was always kept clean and livable.Hiring Todd WILL GIVE YOU THE PROFESSIONAL YOU CAN COUNT ON FOR LIFE.

Hey JoeBonnie, We have been so busy working on the cabin that I neglected to respond to your review. Thanks for your encouragement and I am excited that we are continuing to work with you on the cabin renovation. My goal is always to establish the relationship so that you depend on us anytime you have a construction or remodeling need. We have enjoyed working with you and expect that all your future projects will go equally smooth. Take care, Todd

Dear PHensley, I can only imagine what is was like to come in and find the turkey (and the sink) in the bottom of the cabinets. As you experienced first hand, many companies take shortcuts when installing kitchens and countertops. I am glad that I could send someone out the same day to save your Thanksgiving (and install it the right way). Let me know if we can take care of any other remodeling (or repair) needs in the future. Take care, Todd
Todd, Chris and every worker with DPS were an absolute pleasure to work with. My friends can not believe I worked on a project of this scale and could not find 2 negative words to say about our contractor. Who remodels their main floor (new room addition, remolded kitchen and bath, wall painting, hardwood floors and more) and can not find a complaint about a contractor? We chose DPS based not only on the feedback that customers provided on Kudzu, but Todd responded back to each and every customer comment, not just to those negative comments like most businesses owners. DPS spent several months planning our project, even before a contract or agreement was arranged, basically before we hired them. Their design was more achievable and cost effective compared to previous bids. The development of the contract, which could have been contentious, was very simple and the terms outlined were fair to both me and to DPS. Construction was planned with a very systematic approach which limited our inconvenience. The house was spotless every time Chris and/or Todd left for the day. Every change we had in scope never bothered Todd. He adjusted and still stayed on schedule and budget, yes I said budget and schedule. He is a great designer and knows how to utilize space the most effective way possible. Thanks to DPS, our house now feels comfortable, warm, and usable - like "a million bucks".

Dear crmstide, It always exciting when a project goes well. Your comments are very much appreciated and we attempt to give everyone the same level of service you enjoyed. The added bonus of coming in under budget and ahead of schedule despite changes/additional work are just icing on the cake. We enjoyed working with you and getting to know your family. Please don't hesitate to call with future issues (master bath...hint, hint -- we know it is just a matter of time!) Everything looks as well or better than we designed it and I am excited to have given you the openness and space that will allow you to better utilize your kitchen and dining areas! Take care, and we will talk soon! P.S. Love the garage floor!
Todd and Chris are truly amazing! This is the 2nd time we have used DPS and we could not be more pleased. We were in a bit of a jam and needed some help during a kitchen renovation. Not only did Todd respond quickly but knowing they had other, larger, projects underway, they still made time for us and went the extra mile to help us complete the job on time. DPS provides everything you need when looking for a general contractor. The quality of work is outstanding. They are honest, dependable, meticulous and trustworthy. We can not say enough about DPS and will continue to use their services for years to come. Thank you

Dear Jakespop, It is always nice to work for existing Customers and even better to have the opportunity to help you out of a bind. Nothing is more satisfying than "swooping in" and taking care of everything that needs attention. It is exciting to see the outcome of the project and your new kitchen is beautiful. Thanks for the kind words, and we sincerely appreciate your hospitality and schedule flexibility - it allowed us to accommodate your needs within our very hectic schedule right now. Take care, and we hope to see you soon! Todd
Todd and his group are first rate professionals. They are honest, hard working and deliver great results. There is a saying "he is a stand up guy in a sit down world". Our remodeling project exceeded our expectations. Todd is there during your project and after. This is what separates him from the rest. We would highly recommend Todd for any work and will continue to use him for all of our future projects. We couldn't be happier with the design and quality of the materials used in our kitchen and our bathrooms. Thank you!!

Dear Melymel, It is always exciting when we can exceed the expectations of our Customers! We never stop trying, but it is not always an easy process. Thanks for letting us take on such a substantial project for you and I look forward to upcoming projects that you will have. I am sure the upgrades will be much appreciated for years to come. Thank you for your kind words and trust and we hope to see you soon! Take care, Todd.
Todd and Chris have made our 36 year old house feel like a new home. Todd put new tile in two bathrooms as well as other upgrades. I was amazed how neat and clean they kept the surrounding areas while working with such a messy installation job. My husband was not sure he really wanted to undertake new carpet on 2 floor levels, but boy is he glad we did. They made putting in a light in the ceiling of our dining room seem like a "piece of cake", but I know it was challenging. I'm looking forward to pulling down my new attic stairs to get luggage. Todd is a perfectionist about his work and his work site.

Dear LTankersley, You never know what to expect with an old house, and it is always a challenge. As with any project, the key is creating a realistic plan and then working that plan. Making it look simple is just our way of allowing you to go on about your life while we mess with all the details. I am excited that everything turned out so well, although I know you will miss the creaks in the old floors! Take care, and we will see you for the next project! Thanks, Todd
Todd not only did a great job with short notice, but he was very professional and did not charge me a penny over his estimate, eventhough the job had a few unexpected extras. I would highly recommend Todd and his team to any of my friends and family. Thanks Todd!!

Dear Shiney5, Thanks for the kind words and I am glad you were so happy with the outcome. Any time we run into issues with an older home, it is always a challenge to find creative solutions to the problems that present themselves. It was great to see how well things turned out with the new floor and the older shower stalls. Let me know if there is anything else you need! Take care, Todd
Todd and Chris are fantastic! They have completed several projects around our house - one major one was the installation of new french doors. Everything they have completed has looked awesome...they have picked up every speck of dust they left...I hardly knew they were here working except that they were so nice and patient with my toddler who thinks they are the coolest. They are nice people and a pleasure to work with. Quick and reliable too! Definitely will continue to give them our business as well as refer them to our friends.

Dear Birdie, It seems as if we should just put you on our weekly stop list. I am glad you feel comfortable calling us when you have the larger jobs and when you just have an issue with the roof! As I tell all of our Customers, "It is about Building Relationships." I expect to be the one that adds the new entertainment room on the back of the house when your toddler and his then high school friends just 'have' to get an air hockey table! We will see you soon, and thanks for trusting us in your home and around your kids. That is huge to me and I don't take it lightly! Take care, Todd
If quality work is important to you - hire DPS. If honesty, integrity and trust are important to you - hire DPS. If dependability is important to you - hire DPS. Todd and his team that includes Chris have done several projects for us over the last couple of years. These guys have become family to us and their work is fantastic. For any remodel and addition in and around your home, you need to call DPS. Our four legged son loves them, too!

Dear Noleguy, As always, thank you for your kind words. We treasure Customers like yourself that trust us with every aspect of your home (and your pets!). We are equally blessed by your friendship and as I always tell our Customers, "The relationship is the most important part!" I look forward to many more years and projects together and give Bowden a hug for us! Take care, Todd
I hired Todd and his crew about a year ago to do some major remodeling to my condo. I was doing a gut remodel in my master bath along with installation of granite countertops and undercabinet lighting in the kitchen, and hardwood floors in the main areas. Working with Todd for the setup and execution of the job was excellent. He was helpful in some key decision areas as well as always keeping me up to date as to updates on progress. During the remodel, there were a couple of "snafus" that evolved, but Todd handled them professionally and amenably. I was very impressed. The flooring itself was, well, a "challenge" to say the least. My subfloor was a mess, and though not perfect, Todd and his crew took on the challenge and tried their best to make the floor work. After the work was done, problems with the flooring arose, which later came out to be that the floors were defective. Todd and his crew responded immediately. He came out to my place several times to investigate the problem. He even went with me to the flooring store to talk to the manager and associates, and he worked with the flooring inspector, who eventually made the final diagnosis. When it came time for reinstallation of new floors, I immediately went to Todd and he responded again with professionalism and accuracy. I would like to thank DPS and all the workers there for transforming my condo into a great place to live. I would recommend them for work on general remodeling in the future.

Dear wxjay0, I am glad that you finally have a home again! It seemed like the flooring saga would never end, but I am thankful that the manufacturer finally came through. It was a pleasure working with you, despite the challenges, and we will always stick with you until the end. As I tell Customers frequently, "The relationship is always more important than the job," and part of that relationship is a long term business philosophy with respect to maintaining and improving your home. Please call us the next time you have something come up and thanks for the kind words! Take care, Todd
We were very please how quickly and what a great job DPS did for us. Not only the job was done on time - this was during Christmas and Todd was there Dec. 24th making sure all was done as promised! Our counter tops look amazing!

Dear Lgloss, I am glad you are pleased with the final product! I was excited to get you a new kitchen for Christmas! It doesn't always come together as quickly as it did for you, but when we can, we will make it happen. Please let us know when you want to move forward with other remodeling projects. Take care! Todd
I had a problem with my vinyl siding which was damaged by the wind and called D.P.& S. to see if they would fix it. To my surprise (being such a small job), said yes and was even more surprised when they came out and fixed it the same day I called. This is the best service I ever received by anyone. Thanks Todd for a great job.

Dear Timecop1, It is not always the case that we are able to provide same day service, though we try our best to meet our Customer's needs. And while many of our jobs are much larger in scope, there is typically time to work in the small jobs such as yours. Thank you for trusting us to come out and work on your house, and I am glad you are pleased with our work! Our goal is to complete every job, big or small, so that it exceeds our Customer's expectations! Please keep us in mind as you have future needs with respect to your home. Take care, Todd
This review speaks to the commitment of DPS to their motto regarding "building relationships with homeowners." I had a simple plumbing project of replacing the shower strainer become a nightmare after a few "homeowner missteps." Based on previous experience with Todd, the owner of DPS, I contacted him for a plumber referral. I knew I could trust him to connect me with a plumber who could do the job honestly and efficiently. Instead of passing the job along, Todd and Chris took some available time out of their schedule to come assess the situation, and had the problem corrected by the next day. They had to cut into the ceiling from the first floor to access plumbing on the second, and the patch job is so perfect, you cannot tell that any work was done. (But I know it was from the new shower drain upstairs!) If you want to build a long-term relationship with a general contractor you can trust, who will work to retain your business, the guys at DPS are the ones to call.

Dear CommGuy101, You are 100% correct in that I run my business on the principle of long-standing relationships. I am blessed to have Customers like you who trust us with their home and don't hesitate to contact us whenever a need arises. The challenge is always to continue to be able to service the little items like this as the schedule fills in. We are already booking Spring jobs, but we can typically squeeze the small jobs in with some creative planning. And rest assured, you are not the first or last homeowner to take matters into their own hands before contacting us! Take care, and we will talk with you soon! Thanks again for the referrals and holler when you are ready to tackle the Master Bath! Todd
When we first decided to undergo an extensive home addition project, we heard horror stories from folks whose general contractor experiences were disasters. What we found with DPS (discovered here on Kudzu.com) was exactly the opposite. By reading this review, we feel you have just stumbled onto one of Georgia's top contractors. Words and phrases that describe DPS: integrity, accountable, dependable, quality job, great communications, and a genuine concern for the customer. DPS is big enough to handle just about any job, but small enough to work one-on-one with you so you don't feel like a folder in someone's truck. For a more expansive review of DPS and their work on our two-story addition, visit project607.blogspot.com. Two words of wisdom from our positive experience with DPS ... when you enter into a project with a general contractor, go into it with the sense of partnership. Working WITH your contractor results in a much more pleasant experience. Securing a contracting company like DPS who will meet you in the middle and is dedicated to achieving a balance between customer needs and running their business is like striking gold. Also, for large projects, be sure to build in time to periodically review the project expenses to date ... it can help drive decisions as you work through the stages in the project. DPS truly builds relationships with homeowners and we thoroughly enjoyed working with them! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Dear Bushes5, First and foremost, are you available to be my new marketing rep? I can't thank you enough for the kind words and I can only express my appreciation for your trust and consideration throughout the job. We pride ourselves in taking an extensive project like yours and making it an enjoyable process for you, our Customer. Thank you for tracking the project on your blog! It is exciting when a Customer takes a vested interest in the mutual success of a project and you did just that. Of course, the fact that we were on target with schedule and budget (despite the foundational surprises during excavation) made it much easier to enjoy each other's company as we moved forward. I also want to thank you for your continued work in referring us to your colleagues. Your experience is exactly what I want for all my Customers: "We loved it! And now we have a new friend as well!" Take care, and thanks for the help on the dirtministry.com website, Todd
