My wife was in the hospital having our first child and I wanted to surprise her with new cabinets when she arrived home. At a moments notice Dakota drew up a plan, and installed at our home at the most absurd of hours just so we could get the job done in time for my wife. This is unheard of from most businesses, and I am eternally thankful for the help and work they put in at my home! Also, to the poster below, not so sure they are going to go out of business so quickly, they have been running for 32 years now. Though it sounds like you had a bad experience, but from what I know they always take care of their customers, so perhaps you should give it another shot.

They are the worst company in utah. They do poooooor work and will not stand by it once they are paid. They screwed up my installation and used trash for hardware. They said they would come fix a few things and after 15 weeks! of trying to get them here they "changed their mind" and will no longer do the repairs. I should not even waste my breath, they will be out of business soon.

Checking how other people have reviewed this company and the poster below seems to be spamming the internet with bad reviews. My guess is that it is a competing company, but in any case, Dakota Mill and Cabinets is everything but what is stated below. They are professional and amazing to work with. I highly recommend them!

We started with a design we wanted. We had them drawn up and presented them to the designer. The designer made some assumptions without asking us and then during the measurement missed the window location by 3/4". When the reveal is <6" it is noticeable. The island we had designed was too large for the laminate top. Rather than tell us about the change, the designer just "fixed" it for us. Now the island doesn't have enough overhand for bar stools. When the cabinets were delivered several doors had a finishing flaw, and obvious rag mark this alone shows poor quality control at the mill. The doors were sent back, but after the refinish the came back worse. They had splotches of light and dark not consistent with the wood grain. After many discussions and requests for a fix it was evident that Mr. English didn't care about the quality of the finish. It quickly became obvious that he thought they looked great because he didn't want to have them redone. Mr. English doesn't care about the customer or continued business. AVOID THIS MILL!

I recently built a new home and in building my new home we had to find somewhere that would make custom cabinets with out the custom price. We looked all over town and when we went to dakota mill we were very impressed with the different options they offered at a very affordable cost. The only thing that I would have changed through out my whole experience with Dakota Mill would have been I would have put the wood trim edge in the bathrooms. Other than that I am completely satisfied with the product that we recieved. Also in working with them they were very time efficent which I dont know if you have built a house or not but that is rare.. When are cabinets originally arrived there where two cabinets with the incorrect doors on them.. I called down there and told my sales rep that I had been dealing with through the whole process and he said that was not a problem and he personally came out got the incorrect doors and changed them out for me within just a couple days. I was very impressed with the sales gentle mans hands on work as well as there very prompt service to there customers. I would highly recommend Dakota Mill to any one that I know. They not only provided me with custom made cabinets at a reasonable price but they also gave me the quality of products I have not seen in a long time from many companies.
