Yesterday, when the whole city was shut down with ice and snow, my furnace was putting out an alarming smell and not heating well. Because of the weather, Dan Goss was not able to travel, but over a couple of phone calls he diagnosed the problem, and I was able to fix it myself. He's been our go-to HVAC man for several years now, and I've never had a better one: helpful, honest, extremely competent, responsive, and reasonably priced. What more could you ask for?

Dan Goss, the owner, installed a fine new HCAC system. He advised me well, didn't try to oversell anything, charged a competitive rate, and very intelligently and happily solved a noise problem that only showed up later. I was very pleased.

Dekalb Care and Dan Goss live in a neighborhood not too far from ours. We had head that he provided a good product and professional service. After getting 3 estimates for a new air conditioner we chose Dan. He was knowledgeable and efficient. He came when he said he would and installed our new system. He also built us a attic stair cover to keep our cool air in and the hot air out. It has really made a difference. Dan Gross is a reliable professional you can count on for your air conditioning needs...we would recommend him highly. The Johnsons

My compressor unit went out in the middle of the night and early next morning I called Dekalb C.A.R.E. based upon many neighbor's recommendations. Dan Goss returned my call within 10 minutes, asked all the right questions, and had a tentative diagnosis before we finished. He arrived at 1:30 PM and left me an hour later with a quickly cooling house and a lot of useful information. Highly Recommended!

Dan was great! He called before coming, showed up on time, quickly diagnosed and fixed the problem, took measures to keep it from happening again, checked out the rest of the system, provided no pressure advice to my questions on how to improve my HVAC situation and charged only for a service call. That is hard to beat!

I've used Dan Goss & Dekalb CARE for the maintenance and repair of my home's HVAC system for the past 10 years. He has done a great job of keeping things running, has been responsive when we've had emergencies, and has not tried to sell us on expensive solutions when there was a more cost-effective solution. I recommend him to my neighbors all the time, and recommend him to you, too!

I called my regular guy who said I had a crack in my 20 year old heat exchange and I needed a new furnace. (In addition he mentioned I had a rat problem.) I got Dan Goss (of DeKalb C.A.R.E.) for a second opinion. Not only did I not have a crack in the heat, but my furnace was only 9 years old - not 20. Dan HEPA vac-ed my rat droppings, reconnected a wire, and replaced the filter with the correct kind (as my old guys had been using the wrong one). I will NEVER use anyone other than Dan again.

I am so glad that I found Dan Goss when I was looking for HVAC service. He is so honest and trustworthy and incredibly knowledgeable. He does great work and delivers great customer service. He's been doing maintenance on my systems for three years now and recently replaced one of them. His team worked efficiently and cleaned up after themselves when they were done. My attic has never been so clean. I recommend Dekalb C.A.R.E. to anyone who needs HVAC repair/maintenance.

I called Dan initially on July 21st because my central AC unit stopped working. My aunt, who lives in Dunwoody, recommended him highly and suggested I call his company - DeKalb C.A.R.E. I called his answering service and he returned my call within 10 minutes time. I described the problem and he seemed to narrow the issue to one or two possible issues. We spoke around 4:30 PM and he showed up around 6:00 PM. The weather was hot and the house was almost unbearably warm so he went to work until the problem was resolved that evening, finishing around 9PM. He had to replace the fan motor on the outside unit. I think he charged me$360 which was not bad for emergency service, 3 plus hours of work, and a new fan motor. The other day the unit stopped working again so I called Dan to come out and look at the unit again. He showed up the next morning on time and fixed the problem in less than an hour and did not charge me anything; the problem was a failed / faulty capacitor. Dan is prompt, honest and friendly; I recommend him (and his Company DEKALB C.A.R.E.) highly.

Dan Goss of CARE came to my home to assess why my air conditioning had stopped working. He was able to accommodate my work schedule by coming to my house in the evening (on the same day I called). He was friendly, professional, and honest. He explained the problem and had my air conditioning fixed in less than an hour. I'm so glad that I have someone trustworthy to call!

We have a less than trustworthy HVAC system that always breaks down on holidays. Labor Day weekend was no different. After receiving a recommendation from my family, my husband and I called Dan on Sunday morning of the holiday weekend. Our air conditioning was back in action by 3:30 that afternoon. He was friendly, professional, and fair. We will call on him again (which will likely be often, given our past history with our system).

During the coldest winter we've seen in our 17 years in Atlanta, luck would have it that our furnace quit working. Some colleagues recommended DeKalb CARE. Dan Goss answered the phone, and by our description of the problem, he already had a pretty good idea what was the trouble was. Though it was a weekend, he came out and made the repairs quickly - and at a very reasonable cost. We are a very happy customers and highly recommend DeKalb CARE. Thanks Dan!

I found Dekalb C.A.R.E because of the many great reviews for the company online, and I was not disappointed. Dan Goss came to my house to fix my air conditioning system less than 24 hrs after I called him to request service. He was on time, and even called ahead to make sure I was at my home and ready for him to stop by. Upon arrival and initial inspection of my air conditioning unit, he immediately came up with a list of what could be wrong with the air system, and quickly whittled down that list until he identified the problem. Dan took the time to show me what was wrong, told me what he could do to fix it, and quickly fixed my air system. His itemized bill was easy to understand and his prices were fair. I ended up getting fast, courteous, and reasonably priced service, and I plan on using Dekalb C.A.R.E in the future.

We started using Dekalb C.A.R.E over 4 years ago after getting unreliable service from another HVAC company. Dekalb C.A.R.E's service has always been excellent and they have delivered services that have exceeded our expectations. Our HVAC system needed to get replaced this fall and Dan and his crew did an excellent job with the communication of our options and giving us the best value for our money. The installation went smoothly and Dan followed up after the job was complete to make sure we were happy with the work. After using this company for the last 4 plus years we can tell that they take great pride in their work and we would highly recommend them to anyone looking for an excellent HVAC company.
