Misery for my dogs and many $$$ thousands down the drain. This vet should be shut down! I went out of my way to go to this vet based on his reputation. It cost me lots of money and my dogs a great deal of misery. Within a day of leaving them and going to the Vet Ref center Dr. Balch figured out that the medication being given to my bulldog was about 10% of the needed dosage. WIsh I would have acted earlier....would have saved many days in ICU for my sweet girl!

    Nothing Personal
    poordoggies (1 review)

Years ago I loved Desert Inn, they were for a while the last of the "common sense" vets left in Vegas. Last year my dog reguired sugery which in and of itself is expensive. I found later I was charged for serveral procedures such as blood work that were never done. I took two of my dogs in recently. One for allergies and one for a bacterial infection. The allergy dog needs steroids and the bacterial infection needs antibiotics. To my dismay, the vet would not prescribe these meds unless I did a blood work up for both dogs. I am so frustrated with the new high tech vet stuff. I feel that my dogs are being made to suffer because I won't spring for blood work (which will probably not be done even if I did pay for it.) I put nothing personal because this is a practice that most vets these days are following. I realize they are in "busines," I just miss the old time vets that cared about animals and gave them the care they needed without hijacking the process for money.

A couple of their review say they are expensive. That may be true, but they are also the best, and worth the extra for the quality of care you recieve from them. I moved to Henderson and tried another vet. Did not like the service and returned to DIAH, driving almost 20 miles for the service. Highly recomend Dr. Farnsworth.

I would tell everyone to go to this pet clinic. After going thru over a year of hip and knee surgeries with my rottie (Molly)then having to send her to heaven, I knew they were always there for her first and me second. When a vet has the heart to hold your dogs paw "the way she likes it" to comfort her while she leaves this earth...thats a true blessing. For those that complain they have to wait 10 min, maybe when you take an extra 10 min cause your pet is injured or needing emergency help you will say thanks to the vet and sorry to everyone in the waiting area. OR better yet, while you waitfor the vet, take that 10 minutes to cherish the moments with your pet. May God bless all at DIAH!

The Doctors are the reason to bring your pet here. The office staff leaves much to be desired. If you don't mind the waiting, the quality of care is excellent.

After a horrible experience with another hospital on Eastern, I was referred by a co-worker. They saved my dog - did emergency surgery and cared for my dog for 5 days. Expect a busy hospital. Staff is friendly with lots of advice to take home. Mary Ann gave comfort to me and my family. Clean efficient hospital.

This facility renders quality service but support staff tends to be unreliable and could benefit from additional training. Are open 7 days a week for extended hours which is a plus.

They charge way too much for their services. You have an appoinment scheduled for a certain time u wait 10 minutes in line for them to tell you that you can have a seat. They change doctors way too much too.

DIAH has been taking care of Peabody (australian heeler mix), Kitty (american tabby short hair), Oscar (mini dacshund) and Polly (mini dachsund) since each joined our family. Even after I moved, I choose to continue using DIAH. From Dr. Farnsworth, Dr. April, and MaryAnn at the front desk, they understand & acknowledge that my pets are my babies!
