I brought in a tire with a slow leak. The guy told me it was not repairable. He said it had been previously patched with a "gummy plug" and so it is their policy that they can't fix it. I didn't want to buy a new tire right then so I asked him to put the tire back on and I'd think about it, but he said no. He said they can't put the tire back on because if something happens when I drive away they could be liable. So in other words, I came in with just a slow leak and was basically held hostage to buy a new tire. My other complaint with this visit was that I first came in around 1pm and was told they couldn't get me in until 4:45, so I made an appointment and came back at 4:45. But even though I had an appointment I still waited an hour before they even took my car in to start on it.

I have been using them for over two years and always received decent service. However, lately, they have been tacking on some BS charges... I would recommend them for their service, but make sure you watch out for the following charges: 1. TPMS Service Charge (approx $20 / Wheel) 2. TPMS Rebuild Kit (Approx $7 / Wheel) 3. Hazard Insurance $27/Tire. Other tire dealerships charge $16/Tire to install and for lifetime spin balancing. On my latest visit Discount charged me $16 (Install) + $18 (TPMS Labor) + $7 (TPMS Rebuild Kit / Per tire. I dont think I will go there again.

I caught a nail in a tread. Discount Tire repaired it well and quickly (45 minutes without an appointment) then did not charge me anything (even after I recommended they should). They indicate that it is their way of building customer loyalty.
