Had the beef bulgogi and it was delicious!! The sticky rice was perfect too. I don't know enough about Korean food in the Austin area to vouch for whether or not it's authentic, but it is delicious and filling!!

Discovery Point at Howell Ferry Road has been great with me and my kids. I've been bringing my oldest for 2 years now and my youngest started about 2 months ago. All personnel is very attentive and friendly including the owner of this daycare. My oldest kid had a boo boo the teachers were very kind, comforting. I would recommend them.

My son has been attending Discovery Point, Howell Ferry for 8 years now. Ms. Heni, the director is awesome to work with. I also have a 4 year old daughter that attends Pre-K at the center. Ms. Sonja and Ms. Claudia are amazing teachers. I cannot say enough great things about this center and staff. They are very caring and provide a great learning enviorment for all ages.

From the other post it seem to me like some of the people posting here dont talk to anyone in the daycare or keep up with all the information provided all week.I know what my girls are learning, eating, and if i have a question i ask and they are always more than willing to talk and help you. Discovery Point has been Great! I have two girls ages 3 and 5. I have been bringing my daughters here since they both have been 6 weeks old. The Staff is very helpful and personable. I also love the fact that the staff does not change very often. My oldest daughter's teacher is still with Discovery Point and my youngest daughter comes home taking about her teacher. They have a great curriculum. Both my daughters come home with new Spanish words every week, and are either on target or above there age level requirements. They also have in house field trips were people come and show and teach them different things. Discovery Point has been a great experience and I will continue to keep my girls with them (even when my oldest daughter starts Kindergarten and needs aftercare). There hours are great and it works perfect with my fulltime work schedule. Also one more thing I would like to mention is my older daughter has asthma and allergies and the spring and fall time are the hardest times for her. I know when she's at daycare that they will make sure to give her all her medications and call me if anything is wrong. They are the Best, and I always have a peace of mind while they are.

The tuition is on the lower side, and as I have experienced, the overall care is reflected as such. The front desk support are friendly, but the owner is not so much. I haven't found many of the remainder of the staff to be very friendly. The daily sheets say when they went to the bathroom, what they ate (which is always highlighted they ate all, when I know better) and nap times. I rarely get more then 1 piece of artwork a week, I haven't a clue what books they read, what activities they did. I know they are going by GA recommendations on food, but it def lacks. I'm not even sure my child saw real fruit (besides from a can) while there. I had a teacher tell me they are told "NOT to cuddle or coddle the children". That it is "okay to hug or rub a child's back when they get hurt, but they are not to be hugging and cuddling the kids because some parents haven't like it". I suspected my child was just a number when he started to insist we hold him non stop when we picked him up each day. I started to observe if I ever saw any hands on interaction with any children in any rooms when I would arrive each day, and sadly, I never did. But, I did see a lot of children putting hands on each other, throwing footballs across the room and teachers not doing anything about it. The children are receiving very low quality care. If you decide to use this daycare be open minded and observe what is happening all around. check out google reviews!!!

My son started in the summer of 08. he was never previously in childcare but I felt it was important before he was placed into pre-k. he loves their pre-k program and they are great with children! Highly recommended!

I had my son in this center when he was 7 months old. This was back in 2006. I withdrew him after 3 weeks because I was so unhappy with the lack of care/attention he was getting. I would come to pick him up and he was over in the corner in a baby swing all by himself. I would even make surprise visits to the center and he was always alone. He was never taken outside to get fresh air. When I asked them if they did that, I was told no and that it was too difficult to get the babies outside. I thought it was a rule that regardless of age, the children must have outside time, if the weather is nice. Needless to say, I withdrew him and was still forced to pay for 2 additional weeks because I didn't give notice. I paid the fee, but took him out immediately. I certainly wasn't going to let him stay in that environment any longer. We have found a new place that is MUCH better. It was very expensive too! And it was a little dirty. Would not recommend.
