Professional, knowledgeable, and personal: If you are looking for a dive shop with these qualities please stop by the Dive Shop at 2714 Sandy Plains Rd, Marietta, 30066. Great store with top of the line equipment, a spacious classroom and a large, deep training pool. But the best part is the staff. They are friendly, laid back, personal, experienced, passionate, and entertaining. They want their customers to succeed, and they will do what is necessary to make that happen. Awesome training program. I wish I knew about them before I got my open water certification. Fortunately, they offers advanced classes where I can enhance my diving skills. This shop has the customer service that I look for in a retail environment, but very rarely find. Check them out, you won't be disappointed.

Found them by buying a Groupon and trying scuba with them. That day I was roped in by their "car salesman" personalities to pay twice as much for equipment and classes to become certified. Found out that the other dive shop, in the same town was half the price for the same experience and equipment. They were never organized during our training so classes took twice as long. The actual certification dive in deep water was not included in the certification/classes, so you pay to take classes and be certified only to find out that to actually get certified you need to pay more to take the deep dive. What? Again the other dive shop in Marietta The cost includes the final certification dive and is 50% cheaper. They try to sell you things constantly, and there prices are marked up at least 40% more then the same product costs online from the actual manufacturer. Do not recommend unless you enjoy long waits, over paying, and car salesman.

I went in for a SCUBA refresher and the process took 3 1/2 hours when the actual instruction time was only about 2 hours and was unprofessional. The instructor was not ready for me when I arrived so the instruction started very late. The instructor kept interrupting discussions during the classroom session to see who was coming in the door (there were people there to assist other customers), would stop instruction in the classroom and while we were in the pool to check his personal cell phone, and was generally condescending to me. The final straw was when the instructor (a man) made an extremely inappropriate comment about a how a pair of my body parts reacted to the cold water (I'm female). From my customer service and client experience, making sexual comments to a client is NEVER appropriate. Throughout the instruction he was also trying to sell me stuff. "Hold on, let me get you a different pair of goggles to try..." On top of trying to sell me things I didn't need, he would interrupt instruction and get out if the pool to get equipment when there is NOTHING wrong with my equipment. I won't go back and won't buy anything from them.

I recently did my open water certification with them. They are a great organization to work with. The instructors were awesome. If your looking to get certified, this is the business to use. They are friendly, easy to deal with, and always will to help you out!
