I was recommended Dog School 101 by many co-workers who have taken their dogs to Ms. Sandy. My chihuahua puppy had aggression issues which made it difficult to integrate him into the rest of my family and dogs. She made it easy and fun to train my puppy and incorporate those skills at home even with my other dogs. The improvement I have seen with my chihuahua has been dramatic. If you are thinking of giving up on you dog give Dog School 101 a try. She has been a life saver.

I love Dog School 101!! I've been attending obedience classes with my 2nd generation, and it's been awesome! I took my 1st generation of dogs to Dog School 11 years ago & I'm back with my new puppy. Sandy is amazing with all the dogs & dog owners. She's so intuitive - I think her heart is half dog/half human :-) She's always patient & takes her time in class. I love that she always has great tips & suggestions for each different dog "issue." Sandy is amazing! I learned so much from her years ago, and it has helped me so much with my new pup - but I've also learned SO much more this time around!! Dog School has so much to offer with doggy day care, group & private lessons, and so much more. The facility is top notch, and my dog & I feel at home. Thanks, Sandy, for all you do!!

After having a golden retriever for 12 years, your mind is fresh with thoughts of a well trained dog. When I lost Savannah, I never thought twice about not bringing a new dog into my life. After some time, along came Jasmine, an English Cream Golden Retriever. No dog is created equal, so being the handful she was I looked into dog schools around the area. Dog School 101 offered the location, flexible hours, and best reviews. I spoke with Sandy, one of the trainers, on the phone and she knew exactly was I was describing when I spoke about the difficulties I was having with Jasmine. From day one of class, not only will your dog learn new things, but you will too. I never thought I would see results, having brought the most misbehaved dog to class on day one, but I really did. Sandy is a great instructor, and has the time and patience needed to take you and your dog to that next level. She gives you the tools to allow you and your dog to continue growing after the last class. I also started taking Jasmine to daycare and you can really trust that your dog will not just be tossed in with every other dog. They take the time to group your dog with other dogs of the same personality, which also brought positive results. The entire staff is very friendly, and takes the time to get to know you and your pet. You will even notice this in the other dogs and owners you meet and how friendly and positive they are as well. I would highly recommend Dog School 101.

After not having a dog for over ten years, I knew that I would need some help with my new puppy, Clyde. Fortunately, my friend recommended Dog School 101 to me! Things sure have changed!! Not only did I enroll in the basic obedience class, I also was able to start socializing him with other dogs at a really young age! Our dog has never snapped at a person or another dog...so thankful! I really believe that this early socialization has really helped him to be tolerant of everyone. Sandy has been an excellent instructor for the obedience class. She really takes the time to get to know and understand what motivates your dog. When LIFE happened and we were unable to complete our classes, we were able to continue with the next round. Sandy really does what she can to encourage you to do your best for your four legged fur babies! I am hoping that we will be able to take another class to further his skills..possibly the agility class...not sure just yet. It really is reasonable for all that you get. And if you need a place for your baby to go...just know that he/she will be in good hands and well loved.

My dog Odette graduated from basic obedience and agility class with Sandy. The classes are thorough, fun, and affordable for what you get. Sandy & Xalina LOVE their job, it's easy to see in the way they talk about training and their love for dogs in general. I've been to multiple other trainers over the years and can honestly say DogSchool 101 is the best you will find!

Dog School 101 trained our first dog, a Golden. He was a great dog, loved socializing with all of my daughters friends and other dogs on the walk. Since then we have had 2 other dogs, doodles. Our first doodle got his puppy training at dogs school. He also has been boarded, received day care, and grooming at dog school. Sandy, groomer, does an excellent job at making sure you dog is pretty when it leaves her and pretty throughout the year. Our second doodle's fur is different than our first; thankfully whenever we have a question we can call or speak to Sandy or Xelina in person. Without Sandy's Secrets and knowledge of taking care of dogs, our family would be lost. Without Sandy and Xalina we wouldn't be able to have a 2 dogs under the age of 2, and have our sanity. I would recommend Dog School to anyone, new or experienced pet owner. At Dog School they truly care about you and your kiddo (dog).

Based on a friend's recommendation, my husband and I brought our 5 month old Pit Bull puppy Riley to Sandy for help with nipping/biting behaviors when around unfamiliar people and animals. After observing him for a short time, she knew exactly what he needed. After a rough start (he barked through the entire first obedience class!), he ended the class a calmer, more obedient, and eager to please puppy. He's not perfect (he still fights the Gentle-Leader collar Sandy recommended, and he's still impatient and easily distracted), BUT he responds to commands and the biting behaviors are GONE! At one point, we were concerned we might not be able to keep him if we couldn't get the biting under control. Thanks to Sandy's masterful guidance, he has improved SO MUCH! She even helped us with some nutritional concerns, and Riley has never been healthier. We HIGHLY recommend Sandy and Dog School 101!

Mike,my rescue dog was born in the woods picked up by an animal shelter and sent to a rescue group. As soon as I adopted Mike, the two of us started to take classes at the Dog School 101. Under the supervision of two extremely experienced and dedicated instructors Sandy and Xalina my shepherd mix turned into a wonderfully mannered dog who adores people and have a nose of searching out the ones who love to have a therapy dog lean against them, shake their hands and be petted. Sandy and Xalina have brought out the best of a Shepherd like Mike, its intelligence, loyalty, alertness.... I am grateful to have the luck of being introduced to and adopted a dog wonderful as Mike and a dog school that taught and molded Mike into what he is today. I look forward to many years of therapy work with Mike and continued advise from Sandy and Xalina.

My husband and I have been bringing our dog, Hank, to Dog School 101 since we adopted him from the Humane Society when he was 8 weeks old. We were looking for a reliable and trustworthy place that we could board him for 10 days while we were on vacation. Our neighbor referred us to Sandy and Xalina at Dog School 101 and we were not disappointed with their quality of service and care for our puppy while were away. Sandy was able to take Hank home with her at the end of the night, which was something that was really important to us since we were boarding Hank for such a long period of time. Xalina and Sandy loved on Hank so much while we were gone, we were afraid he would never want to come home! As soon as Hank reached 12 weeks we enrolled him in the Beginner Obedience course. Sandy was an amazing teacher, who helped us redirect our dog's bad behavior into good behavior by teaching us a "watch me" technique. This technique has helped us continue to teach Hank better behavior and how to stay and lie down. We have continued to take Hank to KinderCare at DogSchool 101 a couple of times a week. KinderCare is a great outlet for our dog to socialize with other dogs and is also a safe place for him to release pent-up energy that he can't properly release while being cooped up at home. Sandy and Xalina have been wonderful in helping us understand Hank's personality and reasons for certain behaviors. We feel extremely blessed to have found Dog School 101!

I have 3 dogs and all have been through training at Dog School 101. Two have been to agility class as well. They love going there as they know they are well taken care of - even my little one that has separation anxiety runs in the door there as she thinks it is a little vacation when she goes to doggie day care! Sandy and Xalina know each dog and their individual traits. They love on them and truly care about what they do. The dogs seem to know that as well! I know I can rest easy any time they are there. They also make great recommendations on different collars and leads for each dog. This has helped in my home training tremendously! A big thank you to Dog School 101! We are on our way there again soon. :-)

Because of my schedule, my dog spends a lot of time at Dog School 101. I could not have found a better, more caring place for her to go for training, day care and boarding (and grooming, too!). The facilities are wonderful, the staff is absolutely the best and most importantly, I have learned so much about caring for my dog from Sandy and Xalina. They know dogs!! My dog has been to several boarding and day care places, but not anymore -- this is her home away from home now.

Training classes, daycare, overnight, grooming! We use all of these services since we adopted our dog 9 months ago and can't say enough about how much we love Dog School 101! Knowing that I can leave him and not worry a second about his care is the best feeling. He loves everyone there and they have helped make him an amazing, very socialized, great pet! I can't recommend them enough!!!

We brought our Black lab puppy here for the Basic training class... it was fantastic. We learnt how to train him at home between classes and master obience instructions. The school focus on redirection rather than correction of behaviour, which we liked. We have been back for agility training and hope to do the nose class soon. Have also boarded our puppy and had Playdays...excellent experience both for Henry and us.

Dog School 101 has truly been a Godsend to me and my four year old Cocker Spaniel, Chipley! We entered puppy classes when Chipley was several months old and then I moved from the area unexpectedly. Upon my return three years later we entered Xalina's Nose Works class and I felt like Chipley found what he was born for! He was a natural and the class helped to give him purpose as well as strengthen the bond between the two of us. Sandy and Xalina are experienced and knowledgeable dog behaviorists and whatever your challenge is they will listen, evaluate and work with you and your dog to apply the appropriate solution that will build confidence in both of you and bring out the best in your dog! Don't go anywhere else!
