Sandy & Xalina know dogs! They helped our family through a difficult time dealing with our aggressive dog. They then helped us train our present dog, even including our 3 children. Every time our dog sits, comes, or stays, we know it is because of Sandy & Xalina! We are fans of Dog School 101!

Dog School 101 is fabulous! We adopted a dog with considerable special needs and Sandy and Xalina and the staff worked alongside us compassionately, professionally and never gave up on our situation. They are gifted dog trainers but also lovely people and I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Scooby first spent a full day at Dog School 101. The things he learned in that short time were amazing. We followed that up with basic obedience classes and, again, the results were fantastic. Scooby (and we) learned a lot. Scooby also spent a day in doggie day care and had a blast! If you have a dog or a puppy - I highly recommend that you visit Dog School 101!

Xalina is so patient not only with my crazy puppy,Tara, but with my questions. As a first time dog owner, I needed a place that was organized, consistent, and cared about me and my puppy. Dog School 101 is all of that and more. Tara loves class and day care. It is worth the price to always get a call back, and be treated as if your business matters, and your dog is trully adored. This is a wonderful place!

My dog Zita, a large boxer & I have been taking classes with Sandy & Xalena for 9 years. We Started with basic obedience and went all the way to advanced & Good Canine.Their Positive Re-enforcement training gets results! I take Zita everywhere with me, including into stores. I am always complimented on her good behavior & manners. This comes from the training at Dog School 101. She is a senior now & we still take all the fun classes offered, such as agility & "Nose Training". DOG SCHOOL 101 is the BEST gift you can give your dog! Dogs love going to class here!

Sandy, Xalina and the staff at Dog School 101 are the dog whisperers. They not only are dedicated to the education and the well being of the dogs but also their human handlers. They know each and every one of the dogs under their care, their temperament, their needs, their particulars... In addition they also train the human partners how to properly handle their dogs resulting in a close bond between human and animal during training. Mike, my shepherd, the third dog being trained at Dog School 101, graduated from the basic obedience class in June, the Canine Good Citizen Program in September will prepare to take the Therapy Dog Test. With the continuous nurture of Sandy and Xalina, Mike is on his way to become a dedicated therapy dog, living a meaningful live of calming and soothing the patients at the hospitals, the residents at the Nursing homes and the Assisted Living facilities. Thank you Sandy and Xalina for helping us reach our dream.

My Maltese went to th school for one day of training. When we picked him up, it was amazing. It was like he was a perfect and well trained dog. They work with him and he loves them and gets alone with everyone. I will continue to take him back. Jeremy & Tiffany

We picked up a rescued dog one week ago. The vet was very concerned about his "agressive" nature. After taking our dog (about 1.5-2 years old) to one day of day school, we've already seen an improvement. (We also learned he is fearful, not aggressive - true.) We were provided with simple and very practical ways to integrate him into our family (2 kids, 2 cats). We're thrilled with the initial result and look forward to starting the obedience classes as well.

My Australian Cattle Dog mix, Indy, has had significant issues with fear-based aggression towards other dogs and anxiety fueled by new situations. Xalina recommended Nose Works to help improve Indy's confidence. I was curious as to how a "hunting" class could improve a dog's confidence, but I was amazed at the end. We now practice letting Indy smell her "rabbit" (a kong toy) and then hide it in our backyard without her watching. In less than a minute she finds her "rabbit" and could not be more pleased with herself. This is a huge change from the first class when she would not even get a treat out of a box. She is now more open to interacting with other dogs and attempts new situations without the usual fear. She even focuses less on my husband and I (which is a big change) and is willing to try something on her own. Nose works was fun for Indy and my husband and I- it was great to see just how talented Indy is and see her succeed in a difficult task. This is a fantastic class for any dog needing a boost in confidence.

The staff is fantastic. I have a rescue dog that was untrainied, shy and afraid of everything. We went to class and learned how simple it is to train our dog. He know walks on a lease, sits, plays, etc. But more importantly, how important it is for dogs to socialize. We have been sending Casper to dog daycare (he knows it as Dog School) for a few weeks. He loves this place. He has friends and gets excited when we turn the corner to the school. This place is a dog haven!!! Jay W.

I recently got a new puppy and the training Dog School 101 provided was very helpful. I recently lost a 14 year old lab and had to start all over and its been a long time since I had a puppy.

Our family loves this place! We took our lab to puppy training and keep coming back. Its a great environment for all dogs and great animal loving staff. They are always willing to give helpful hints with on going dog training, which makes our training easier. *A nice plus is our lab always comes home exhausted after a fun filled day at camp! He loves running around with dogs all day! You guys are great!! Love The Hills, Bo's family

Our vet recommended these incredible trainers. Training is done in a small group or one on one with your dog. Trainers truly get to know your dog and can recommend what will work best re: class, collar type, etc. Available training includes basic commands, obedience, scent training, "canine good citizen", etc. Our fiesty puppy came home after one session a changed dog. I was shown how to communicate with my dog and got info about how to better work with him. Small group classes enable you to interract with your dog with distractions, hear questions from other owners and get answers to your own. Their help encouraged us to rescue a 2nd puppy a few months later. Their "day school" is a day care for dogs - my dogs absolutely love going to play with other dogs in a safe, clean, well-supervised environment. They get excited when asked if they "want to go to school" and come home relaxed and happy. The low daily price is worth the treat it is to our dogs and keeps them socialized with other dogs. Dogs can attend day school as often as owners like. We are grateful for being shown how to live so happily with our pets!
