I have visited Dominick's three times trying to give the place a chance. Each time the service was terrible. On one visit we just decided to leave after no one came to the front to seat us. Waiters seem to be distracted, and generally walk around emotionless. Food was average to good, but the environment and frequent mistakes on our order made each visit unpleasant.

I have been to this location before with my husband for lunch. The portions are very huge, and the food is sometimes good. My most recent experience however, was bad enough I dont plan to return. My husband and i brought our teen daughters for a treat out for dinner, it was about 8:15pm the crowd was leaving thinning, so not so many people in there. We were seated our order given, about 20min later we got out appetizer, it took so long, we were going to just cancel the salad we had ordered! Both were good, but the place was NOT THAT BUSY!...finally out food came out, we had ordered the chicken parm, i thought my chicken was under cooked, and the food was coated in a dark, heavy red sauce that tasted nothing like the sweeter sauce for the bread. I stopped eating my dinner for fear or getting sick but didnt want to wait another hour or two to get another plate, however while i was waiting for my family to finish, a waiter came to our table mistakenly and asked if we ordered another chicken parm due to undercooked chicken!!!!!!!!!!!! I sat there stunned!!!!! most likely the most UNprofessional thing that has ever happened in restaurant to me. Our waitress, seemed very aloof, again it just was not that busy, our drinks would Eventually get filled, we eventually got our food, coffee and desert the best part of my meal, after almost 2 hours maybe more i was just happy to leave.. consistantcy is important to me, as well as good service and attentive staff... i wont be back.

WE tried this place on a whim and love the food. It doesn't seem very kid friendly at first but when you walk in they have kids book in the waiting area and put down paper under high chairs to keep mess to a minimum. It's not a very big place and there will most likely be a wait but it is worth it. The portions are huge, even on the kids menu! We will definately be back!

Dominick's is "the place" in Lawrenceville for a special evening with your special one. All the appitizers and entres are excellent. My very favorite is the crab cakes. The portions are large and most diners take home what they can't finish. The house wines are fairly good. Usually there is no room for desert.
