After going to another practice that was unable to remove my Mirena, I found DWC on my insurance's website. I scheduled my annual exam and spoke to Dr. Dark about the unsuccessful attempt of having my Mirena removed. She listened to my concern and was certain that I would not have that experience with their office and she could remove it. I scheduled my appointment for two days later and she was able to remove my Mirena with its super short string without using the ultrasound machine. Her bedside manners are phenomenal. The office team was very professional and friendly. I am so thankful I found this office.

have had three bad experiences with this office. I went to them throughout my pregnancy. The first experience was when I was rushing to make my appointment while pregnant, after leaving work early, and it was raining, and there was an accident. I called to tell them I would be a few minutes late, and they informed me that under no circumstances would I be able to be seen if I was more than 15 minutes late. However, at my very next appointment, the doctor was running late, and they had me sitting in the waiting room for 1 1/2 hours without updating me, or trying to find anyone else to fit me in. Today was the last straw. I had a problem that I had been in to see Dr. Ortenzi about two weeks ago. My 16 month old son was with me at the appointment. They told me to schedule a mammogram, and I did while I was there. When I went in to the appointment, I had my son with me, as I am a stay at home Mom, and don't have anyone to watch him. They gave me the paperwork, while I was holding my son. I sat and waited. When they called me for the mammogram, the lady looked at me like I was a complete moron for bringing my son. She said "did you have him with you when you signed in?" Well, yeahhhhh...I did. The worst part was they simply refused to find any way to accommodate me, and the b_____ manager at the front desk said that her patients usually ask if it's ok for them to bring their children. I walked out and said I would not be back. WASTE OF TIME, and can we say ATTITUDES!!!

I was happy to find this practice! Specifically wanted a GYN only and Dr Ortenzi fits the bill. She is compassionate, caring, and I will stay with her forever! Her nurse is the Best! The Phlebotomist is Great!!The office is a one stop shop with Mammograms and Bone Density, onsite, and Cosmetic "Fixins"

She is absolutley the BEST physician I have ever encountered. I just wish she could be my sons doctor!! I love the whole staff there. Dr. Bland is awesome too.

I moved to the Atlanta area 3 years ago and my main concern was finding a reputable, caring OB/GYN. I initially found a Dr. in my town of Douglasville, however, I was not completely satisfied with that particular office. I then researched various offices in my area and found Douglas Women's Center. My initial appointment was with nurse practitioner, Lew-Ann Lenfest. Nurse Lenfest has been with the DWC for years and is wonderful at what she does. I continuously receive quality service, the office environment is clean and welcoming, and my wait time is never lengthy. Overall, DWC exceeded my expectations and I highly recommend this office.

My first vist to this office was Sept 2008, the experience was a good one. My daughter recommended this place because she went to Douglas Women Center last year and stated that she was comfortable and would continue to visit the facility. Everyone was pleasant and I would go back again.

The women center is administered by women for women. They have women doctors on staff to make you feel comfortable and put your mind at ease. When one doctor gets behind then other doctors step in so that your wait time is less.

I am expecting my first baby and have seen most of the doctors at the Douglas Women's Center. They are all competent, caring women doctors who really do their best to answer your questions & calm your fears. I have had to wait for some appointments, but I found that if you book your appointments later in the week you don't have to wait long. All of the nurses are nice & knowledgeable. It's a fairly busy practice, but overall they are professional & do provide good care.

I have been going here for over 5 years. They delivered my second child. As with any ob group you see everyone while pregnant because you get whom ever is on call when you go into labor. Of course I have my favorites. Most of the same doctors are there, turn over has been about 15%. I like the fact that I do not have to wait on anything if there is a problem. They have all the equipment right there. With my first child I was with another office and when they wanted to do an ultrasound and their machine was not the best. I had to go to the hospital and wait. With my second child when this office wanted to do an ultrasound they just rushed me right into the room and did it right then no waiting. Not having to drive somewhere and wait while scared that something is happening to your baby means ALOT. Sometimes I have to wait to be seen if my appointment is routine or not an emergency. But when I have really needed them they have been there for me.

I had previously reviewed this practice and referred to the poor treatment my daughter and I had received from its office staff. In fairness to the practice and it's management/doctors I wanted to note on here that the administrator did call me and listened to my story about what happened and was very upset about what had taken place and concerned. About a week ago I received a follow up letter too telling me how shed handled the situation and informing me on some changes that have taken place since my experience there. She was again apologetic and seemed sincere when expressing her concern. I wont return but did think she handled it properly and is taking steps to ensure that doesn't happen again.

I live inside Atlanta's perimeter, but my loyalty to this group of doctors is not prohibited b/c of the distance. I see the nurse practioner with ease, and Lew Ann is amazing. I have had a series of problems and she deals with me professionally and compassionately. The nurses who perform prescription refill and call return are also friendly. There is a slight wait to be seen, but the reception lobby is inviting and comfortable. I can usually get a "problem check" with ease, and don't have to wait that long for my annual exam appointment.

I have been going to Douglas Women Center since I was 14. My grandmother, my mother and sister go to them as well. They have delivered two of my nephews and my niece. We are loyal patience and would go nowhere else! If I ever have an issue, I call them right and away and get a caring and educated answer. My visit are as enjoyable as a doctors appointment can be and highly recommend them! PS - go see Lou Ann - she is great and will answer any question you have!

I love this doctor's office. They friendly, competent, and swift. I have never had to wait more than 15 minutes to be called for my appointment even when I was tardy. My RN was excellent and always knew who I was when I came there. The facility has everything you need on-site and the staff work well with the patients.

I paid for a delivery of my baby by a mediacl doctor, instead they gave me a midwife delivery because the doctor that was supposed to do my delivery was tied up. they did not refund my money either. They also make you wait forever for your appoitment. Sometimes the wait exceeds 30 minutes. Ladies, be aware. There are a lot of wonderful ob-gyn out there.
