I have had nothing but problems with Dunwoody Heating and Air. They replaced two units- one was making so much noise, I asked what could be done about it. Nothing- only thing would be to contact manufacturers rep. I did and he agreed that the unit should be replaced- Dunwoody Heating and Air did the labor. For the next five years, problems on and off- water line froze and caused stain in the ceiling, etc. Right before the warranty expired, the freon needed to be replaced- but then the repair guy (not Dunwoody) said due to the"rattling" the copper coil had a hole in it. I contacted the manufacturer- said that the warranty was just expired- could he do anything, Net , net- Dunwoody H&AC never replaced the air handler- the two pieces were incompatible- nice huh ? Mgftr. agreed to replace Air Handler- Dunwoody would need to do work. They agreed . Today, having the system semi -annual checkup by Shumate- was just informed there is a pipe that has been laying on the attic floor- and air has been blowing in the attic. There are a number of very good HVAC companies- Dunwoody Heating and Air is not one of them.

Doug came out the same day. Checked the unit and it was a quick fix and he charged me a fair price. Will definitely call them next time we need a repair and will use him to replce our units! Great family owned company.

I called Dunwoody's Choice a call because my A/C was not working. They came out that day to check on the unit. The technician performed the basic troubleshooting and couldn't identify and issue. He did not try to upsell me or fix a problem that didn't exist. I appreciate the honesty. I will defiantly use them in the future when I have any HVAC needs. -Tim in Marietta

I have been using Dunwoody's Choice for several years and have turned over all eight of my properties to this company to service. Their team is always very responsive and willing to spend as much time as necessary to explain the problem and steps necessary to resolve. I have never felt pushed to pay for services that were not necessary and have always been a satisfied customer. Beware of the big companies who are on a clock and strictly there to upsell. I will always recommend Tim @ Dunwoody's Choice to all my friends and family!

My HVAC failed recently and I was forced to replace both the HEAT and AIR. Dunwoody's Choice came through and they deliver timely, friendly, experienced professionals. Cecil "the owner" has been amazing and I truly appreciate the cool air in my home. They adjusted their own schedule to accommodate me. Thank you so much! LT

This is a nice family owned business that's been around forever. As such, they are able to offer personalized service and better deals than the big operations (because there's less overhead). I've recommended them to many family and friends and wouldn't hesitate to do again.

I have rental props and have used Tim Maxey (Dunwoodys Choice) for over 5 years. He is honest, dependable, does excellent work at a fair price. Often times he has been able to talk myself or a tenant through a fix over the phone, never charges. If there is ever a problem after an installation he is there immediately to make it right. Sells the best products, backed up with excellent warranties. Tim is a great guy, can't recommend too highly. Also does hot water heaters, call him first!

I own a bunch of real estate which means I get to use contractors a lot. It's exceptionally difficult to find someone who is as consistently superior to their competition as Cecil and his crew. They're not going to sell you a new unit if you don't need one. If you do need one they'll get it done at the most competitive cost around. They're ethical and extremely knowledgeable. I've used them since 2004 and every time I call someone else to spot check what Cecil or his guys are telling me regarding needs and cost I find that they're spot on. His crew is also especially kind to my wife which is a big plus.

Cecil is a good ole boy and is nice. Their rates are reasonable. I believe that they are honest. I have used for probably 12 years. I bought my first air conditioning unit from them and it worked fine. When my second unit went out I bought from someone else and regretted it. They come out twice a year for maintenance on both units. I would recommend.

I gave Dunwoody's Choice a call because my A/C was not working. They said the condenser was bad and replaced it. The owner was rude but it did work when they left for a short while. It quickly started getting warmer and warmer and would not cool the condo down. To summarize, they came out approximately ten times to finally get it working. They added a new blower to the charges but that didn't fix the problem. Then, when the cool weather came in the heat didn't work. After my experience with them, even with the warranty, I called someone else to get things working. I just didn't have the time to keep meeting them during business hours. The problem ended up being that they had not even hooked up the gas or exhaust for the new blower. The total work was about 15 minutes to complete the installation.

I have done business with Cecil for the entire time I have lived in this area...I have always contacted Cecil directly and he has always responded personally to my calls. I have found him to always be friendly, knowledgeable, reasonable and responsive to my needs. He will be my first call for any heating or a/c work.

I called Dunwoody's Choice Heating and A/C to come look at our air conditioner. The service technician came out and determined we needed over $300.00 worth of freon just for a "test." In addition, we were told unless we spent over $4000.00 on equipment in the basement, all the freon would leak out. He spent all of 15 minutes to come to that conclustion. It was a complete and total fabrication. We finally found a reliable, honest person who actually looked at the unit. WE DID NOT NEED ANY FREON AT ALL. It was almost full. Don't waste your time or money...

Have used DC for about 3 years - Shirley and Cecil are part of a great team who has a prompt, professional, and up-front way of doing business. They have reasonable rates and are friendly and helpful. I have been really happy to recommend them to all my friends.
