I hired these guys to move from Marietta, Ga. to Canton Ga. . I should have known it would be a bad experience when the driver Keith had me sign the Household Goods Bill of Lading and he kept telling me not to pick option 2 which was additional Insurance, He kept saying " You are covered anyway". I chose to ignore his advise and take out the additional Insurance even though it cost me an additional $56.50.The first piece of furniture they moved was my leather sofa. I asked them to just pick the sofa up and lift over a knee high wall to get the sofa out of the room and in the foyer by the front door. Instead of listening to me they decided to try and squeeze my sofa through a very narrow doorway. Needless to say they got the sofa stuck in the doorway and made a few rips in my leather and also took a small chunk of wood out of the sofa leg.Once we got to my new house they started unloading. They used hand trucks for the heavy furniture. Where they dragged the hand trucks up the steps they messed up the carpet where the carpet and hardwood floors meet.I walked in one of the bedrooms and the driver was trying to fix the stand on a 43" Vizio flat screen. I told him not to worry about the stand. What I didn't realize is when I plugged the TV up 2 days later it had obviously been dropped because the TV was busted. I called the office and spoke to who I believe to be the owner Ernest. When I told Ernest about the TV the first thing he said was " It took you 2 days to realize the TV
was busted?" I explained that I didn't know until we plugged it up.This was Sunday so he said he would call me on Monday and have the driver come and look at it.Monday evening about 7pm I called back because of course I hadn't heard from anyone. Ernest said that they were busy and couldn't make it so he said someone would call me Tuesday. Tuesday came and no call , Wednesday came and no call so I called back Wednesday at 7pm. He said someone would come Thursday but now they wont call me back.
Area Canton, GA
Cost $500 - $999
Date April 2016

They guys were fast, but very rough on my furniture. I was not impressed with the way they wrapped the furniture. Several items were damaged. Cash was taken....When I notified Ernst of the damage and missing cash I was told that I should never leave jewelry or cash out. !?!? He said that he would investigate my complaint and call me back...TWO months later I'm still waiting on my call back. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!! Let's just say that you get what you pay for! I would NEVER recommend a company with values like this. My advice....Pay more for quality service!

E&L came very highly recommended, by several friends, but they really blew it with me. Ernest was great when I had to reschedule bc my closing date got changed, but on the new moving day they didn't show up. Ernest apologized and said it was his mistake but didn't seem to understand what a problem it was or why I'd be upset. My "peace offering" was that they would move me the next day (Sunday) without charging Sunday prices. Not great, but I wanted to get moved, so I said ok. Movers came the next morning, but only two of the three men came, & they'd been told nothing about what to expect (furniture in the garage at the new house, etc.). In the past they'd moved friends from one big house to another in less than three hours. My small move (1 bd apt) took them 5!!! I'm sure getting paid time and a half bc it was a Sunday had nothing to do with that... If I hadn't helped load and friends and I hadn't helped unload, who knows how long it would've taken?! I feel very taken advantage of. To be fair, one of the guys did seem to work much harder than the other. The 11 yr old that was helping them worked very hard, too. (he was "helping" his dad). And nothing got scratched or broken. But I won't be using them again, and neither will anyone I know if I can help it. Too bad; my mortgage broker was going to recommend them.

This company offered quick and immediate service. They came exactly at the time promised and went promptly to work. Our schedule for the day was complicated but they worked very closely with us to get the job done. The owner was on site to get everyone going. Every employee who worked with our move could not have been nicer. They were consistant in their work and were careful with our belongings. No damages to report. Will use again and recommend to family and friends.

Let me preface this review by saying this company nevery actually moved me. I had scheduled a move for Saturday 8am. The day before "Ernest" called to move the time to 2pm. I was a little annoyed, especially for his lack of caring and complete inability to use the English language properly. But, I thought, that gives me more time. At 1:30pm, one of the movers called to say they would be there between 4-5pm!! No one called until 5:45pm to see if I could change it to MONDAY. I was literally sitting there waiting for them for hours. Ummmm, no, I said; Monday is not acceptable. Then he said he could be there at 8pm on a Saturday night. And I am supposed to pay these guys by the hour? No thanks. 12 hours late and still no moving truck. This company was highly recommended by family; and I am extremely disspointed. Please do not waste your time or money on this pathetic excuse of a moving company.

E and L Movers moved me yesterday and I could not be more pleased with the services they provided us. The owner of the company is very nice and laid-back. We had three men and 1 truck and while I was a bit nervous that they were slower then expected this also meant all my furniture was moved without incident. They moved an entire 2 bedroom apartment plus 60 boxes in 4 hours which included driving from Marietta to Decatur. I would use them again without hesitation. Take a chance and use this mom and pop business to move your stuff.

I was suppose to move on a Friday and for some reason they wrote my number down wrong and when they tried to call and confirm, they couldn't contact me. I called them and they did make arrangements to move me first thing Saturday morning. The owner's son was very nice and keep me up to date about the confusion and assured me that they would do all that they could to make sure that I was moved in. They were fast and professional. I will definitely use them again. The only problem that I had was the confusion about my phone number. Out side of that it was great.

The movers themselves were not very proffesional or fast, but the real kicker was when a piece of furniture was damaged. When I pointed out the obvious damage on a new piece of furniture, he originally gave me a hard time. Then when they moved the piece into the new house, he said he couldn't find the damage anymore; "it must have been the light" ... when I looked closer I saw someone had used a black marker on the dents they put in my wood furniture! I could not believe it. At least they did send a professional out to repair it after I complained.

The actual movers were great. Be very cautious when talking to the owner, Ernest. They came highly recommended to me from a friend, but I have never experienced such a difficult time trying to do business with anyone in my life. Attempting to find out information, he started yelling at me and accusing me of all sorts of things. I have never found it so difficult to pay someone to do business with me. My co-workers were laughing at my end of the conversation when I was trying to talk to him. He should not be answering the phone, and most definitely should not be talking to anyone. I came very close to being rude to him back and canceling them all together.

E&L has helped me move twice and I have been 100% satified with their service both times. I constantly recommend them to friends because they are efficient, moderately priced, and extremely careful with your belongings.

I have used E&L 4 times over 2 moves and they are just excellent. They don't waste time and are very careful with everything they have packed and moved. They are very impressive and I wouldn't hesitate to use them again in the future. I have refered them to friends and they also have been very pleased with them.

E&L moved my friend who was living with us. They had two men move an entire apartment full of items out of my house, transport it, and unload in a matter of a couple of hours. They carefully wrapped all the furniture and everything arrived in perfect condition. Their prices are very competitive, and they are extremely reliable.
