The East Lake Y is a part of the East Lake neighborhood development. They have great services and the facility is only a few years old. Its very clean, very friendly staff and the trainers are so helpful.

My daughter loves to go here and will drag me to workout because she wants to play. Clean and efficient. I hate to workout, but if I have to, this is the place.

I originally began working out at the Buckhead YMCA and really miss it compared to East Lake ... but East Lake still is one of the nicer ones. My membership just went up to $52 a month, which is a bit of a bite in the wallet, but I keep in mind that the money goes toward youth programs etc. I also have a metro membership, which means I can go to ANY Y in the Metro area, which is convenient b/c I work in Covington so get to work out there as well. Unlike the Covington Y, East Lake (like Buckhead) has an indoor pool, which is great. My only complaint is that every machine doesn't have its own TV!!! I love that about the Covington and Buckhead Ys.

The cost of the monthly membership is about $45 per month, which is a little steep compared to a few others. The equipment is up to date, a pool is available as well as several classes. They do need to offer more time slots for the popular classes, such as pilates and yoga. The atmosphere is pretty laid back; no need for that hot pink pair of stretch pants!
