I called Effiency Experts to check on my AC wwhich wsa not working. I suspected the 24V transformer was the issue and told them that. They showed up and quoted me $360 for the repair. I called the owner and he gave me a line of bull about how expensive the transformer and an a 20' piece of 18 gauge thermostat wire is. I called grainger and purchased the transformer for $17.00 , went to Home Depot and bought the thermostat wire for .26 per foot. I spent $25.00 and was back up and running in less than one hour. Effienct Experts is the type of company that gives contractors a bad name. Trying to charge outrageous prices and attempt to explain away the cost to unsuspecting consumers. I will never use this company again and encourage you to find a different company for all of your A/C and Heating needs.
