Elizabeth L. Charles Bridal specializing in all wedding attire for the bride, bridesmaids, mothers of bride and groom and flower girl, including veils, head pieces, jewelry and undergarments. An independent seamstress is available to meet on premises for alterations.
This company used to be owned by different people. Now it is ran terribly. Our dresses took 6 months to order when they said it would only take 3! They failed to call me to tell me that dresses would not be in on time. Rosemary did not care about any of my concerns. I called so many times asking when my bridesmaid dresses would be in and someone said they would be in the next day. I was relieved to hear this but THEN I called a few weeks later and Rosemary told me they STILL were not in! I was so upset and asked why they would tell me they were going to be there and now they are not? Finally the dresses came in and I took my bridesmaids in to try on. They were very rude and instead of politely greeting us, they said "You need to pay your balance before you try on your dress". Who has ever heard of a place that makes you pay for your own dress before even trying it on? I have bought 2 dresses from Elizabeth Charles in the past before and I NEVER had to pay first before trying on the dress. My bridesmaids had already put down their deposits. Rosemary said its in their policy that bridesmaid may NOT try on the dress until they pay first. That is so ridiculous. I can go anywhere and try on clothing before paying for it! Finally, after my girls paid for the dresses NONE of the dresses fit right. They were all too big. They do not do a good job measuring the dresses and I honestly think they order the sizes bigger so they can make money off of alterations. Stay away from here!

Didn't get our dresses on time. Turns out their Credit Card to the manufacturer expired so OUR dresses (even though they were paid for - some in full) weren't shipped because of their neglect. They wouldn't pay for shipping to my girls or give a discount and now my girls have to pay more money for rush alterations. STEER CLEAR... There is another shop 5 minutes away (West on Forest Hill) that was much more professional and helpful. The sad part was, the only reason we bought the dresses there was because Betty (the previous owner that had sold it) had been so sweet. The new owners don't care about you and they won't do anything to make it right. It's borderline fraud... taking your money and then causing your dresses to not be shipped cause they've got a bad credit card. The new owners are awful and have ZERO customer service. It's not worth the frustration.
