John and his guys Brett, Enoch and the others are by far the best landscapers you could ask for. John came into our disaster of a backyard and went around all different spots in the yard to plan the best hardscape and plants for each area meeting exactly what we were looking for. He listened to what we wanted and created an absolute paradise in our backyard. I couldn't be happier. John is so passionate about what he does, he creates masterpieces, he doesn't just install plants. The proof is in the photos... see the before and after.

UPDATE 5-19-14 Spring is here and the crape myrtle installed in February didn't show any sign of leaves. An email was sent to John Mateyak letting him know there may be a problem. Within a week a new tree was delivered and the replacement is beautiful. We are still loving our yard - thank you, John! Original Review 2-22-14 We contacted Environ and met with John Mateyak. He provided us with different options to fit our budget. A plan and price was agreed upon and the project began. As the project progressed, necessary changes were made, architectural drawings were updated and the project was completed in a timely manner. During the project, supervisor Brett was on hand to ensure that all work was performed to the specifications. We got everything we were promised, and then some. We couldn't be more pleased.

Environ Associates was one of several companies that I met with regarding our backyard project that involved grading, retaining walls, drainage issues, landscaping, and sod. I decided on Environ Associates because I liked the detailed plan that let me know exactly what they would be doing and how much it would cost. The project took approximately 3 weeks. During this time Brett was extremely easy to work with. I could contact Brett through phone or email and I always got a quick response back. His team is extremely hard working and dependable. They had a difficult job with our backyard, but they completed on time and within budget and I couldn't be happier. Even after the job was complete, they have continued to be very helpful and responsive to answer any questions I might have (and I have a lot). Most recently we had an issue with our sod, and Brett came by a few times to determine what was needed. Ultimately, Brett and his team ended up replacing our sod 10 months after the initial job completed. That is where this company shines above so many other companies today with their integrity. They are simply willing to do a great job and stand by their work. I would recommend this company to anyone.

Environ Associates was one of three to bid for our backyard which involved grading, irrigation issues, hardscaping, and landscaping. Brett, the operations manager, showed up within 24 hours on time to scout the yard, take input, and come up with a design. I had a design in my hand, with estimate, by end of day. Others spent an hour with me and had 3-4 days turnaround time for a design. At first the brevity of his visit compared to other bids made me nervous. But the professionalism and speed from him and the office caught my attention. Upon checking references, it became clear that he has just done this for so long and is so good, that he can assess quickly, and design very well. To give an idea of scope: My project included regrading, a dry river bed, 12ft fire-pit area, 20ft tumbled paver patio, flagstone paths, a 2 person swing, a 15x20 bordered area for a playground, and landscaping. The crew, under Brett's leadership - arrived early every morning at 7:30 and worked solid for 8 hours with little break. All people working were skilled, employees, and not day laborers. The project was finished on time and within budget. There was no nickel and diming or hidden costs. When I asked "Where did that ornamental tree come from", Brett responded - "Ah, you needed something there - so I threw it in". (A 15ft, beautiful, flowering ornamental tree). There was some items marked in a walk-through and they were turned around in under a weeks time.
