After hiring them to appeal our property. They were to show up with evidence on why our value was too high. To find out our rep Joshua Rosecrans did not show up for the hearing and they said they lowered our value charged us $567.00 to find out from the county they offered a 30 day letter before the hearing. This is only good for one year not three because he didn't show up to the hearing.The office manger was very apologetic and offered her help for us to show the owner the money should hAve not been billed to us. However The owner of the company David Humphreys finally returned our call after two months and said we owed the money to him that there is nothing saying a representative will show up for a hearing just that they will lower the value! After talking to others this practice is very common by Equitax and they do this all the time. Plus we found out that Mr Humphreys has done this over and over to clients this is robbery in our eyes. We suggest you Never use this company!!!

We paid $400+ for them to represent us in our home's assessment appeal. They told us a bunch of lies in their lingo but we ended paying $3,000 more in taxes than in previous years. Stay away from this company.

We have been LOYAL customers of this firm for 8 years.Our home value is overinflated and has been shown to be so with an appraisal done recently for our bank.We paid the $250 service fee every year spending over time close to $2000 for a ONE TIME small tax savings,and had to pay them a percentage of those savings.This past appeal period we asked that the agent that was working on my property please give us a call before our hearing date.We were told that he would do so a week before.He never called.We called him again several times and left messages to please have him call.No call.We then had to call the office manager and tell her this story.She apologized and said he would call and that she would look up what the most recent hearing decision was on our home.As usual our home appraisal had remained the same overinflated amount(as it has for many years).We told her that at this point we did not want to speak with anyone but explained that as a loyal customer their treatment towards us was just unacceptable.She again said she was sorry.We hung up and she had the man working on our home tax value appeal call. He was less than apologetic and almost rude, seemingly very put upon to call. We ended the call. We then recalled to speak with the owner.He said all the "right things"and how he wanted to write us a note(NEVER got one)of apology.Not once was there mention of doing anything to compensate us for all the money we have spent or for the poor customer service and results.
