I love this place. The desserts are divine. The line is insanely long. I recommend eating an early dinner. Drop in here around 6:30. The only person in front of you is your date. Show up around 8:00 and get ready for a 45 minute line event. Either way it's worth the wait. Very over the top.

Extraordinary Desserts has some of the most creative, imaginative and decadent desserts in San Diego! It's uptown location makes it convenient to stop by after a nice dinner or anytime for just dessert and coffee. Getting a custom made cake from Extraordinary Desserts is also a great way to add some extra thought to your next special event.

There is usually a long line during the evening, but it's worth it but it's worth it. Not completely ideal for really, really big groups unless you can get a table outside. This location is more intimate than the one in Little Italy but doesn't have a "non-dessert" menu.

Many locals knows of this place as the dessert place to try. However, I was not impress by their dessert and it was very expensive. The tiramusu was aweful and the cakes are okay. It looked better than it tasted.

My favorite is the Truffle Framboise -- I love the dark chocolate and the raspberries -- which is so rich I divide the piece into two servings due to its richness. I also like the Tortamisu.

3 times...3 times in the last 6 months I have given ED a chance to impress me (and my friends). They all LOOK so good but we all have felt that the desserts fell short of expectations when it came to flavor. I think they should concentrate less on making it pleasing to the eye and try to develop their recipes for more flavor. Not one of us has any compelling desire to return. I think you should go and try it for yourself, though. We all have different tastes and it IS popular...
