In 2001 Extreme Air built & installed an HVAC unit for my condo. In 2008 I discovered that a crucial "cap" had been omitted during installation on the drip pan and the pan was dripping water into the plenum space in which the unit sits, causing a green mold issue to arise. The other opening where the dripping was supposed to be draining apparently was higher than the uncapped opening, and the water was unable to drain from the correct opening. A cap on the secondary opening is supposed to prevent just this kind of occurrence. I called and asked them to come out & install the missing piece. They said the unit was "out of warranty" and they would not install the part they had omitted from the beginning. THIS IS NOT A WARRANTY ISSUE; IT IS AN ISSUE OF THEM NOT COMPLETING THE JOB IN THE FIRST PLACE. Since they installed my unit, they've stopped doing residential work and focus only on commercial. In my opinion, their refusal to "finish" the job they were paid to do reflects BADLY on their character. I would not recommend this firm to anyone.
