I contracted with Factory Direct Liners to replace the liner of my in-ground vinyl pool and make necessary repairs to the pool walls and coping. As a result of their sloppy workmanship my pool walls collapsed and I no longer have a pool. Also, the collapse caused by their work caused my concrete pool deck to become undermined and unstable. All they would do is give me a promise that they would come out and fix it at some later date, which they would not commit to without me pushing for a schedule. However based on the workmanship and skills demonstrated by their employees and subcontractors I would not let them back onto my property. In addition, during this process I received a threatening phone call from their foreman. They also left piles of waste wood and concrete rubble around the pool. Buyer beware! If you view the photos you will see the collapsed wall in the pool etc.
Replace an in-ground vinyl pool liner and repair wall framing and concrete coping.
Area Atlanta, GA
Cost $20,000 - $24,999

The only part of the above paragraph which is true is that FOL did enter into a contract with Mr. Oppenheimer. First it needs to be noted that this pool is a wood wall pool which is 40 plus years old. Any vinyl pool expert in the Atlanta area is familiar with the quality of the vinyl pools built by Ideal Pools. This pool, first of all was built in a low area with severe drainage problems. The evidence of which was exposed when the liner was removed. One whole long side of the pool walls along with half the deep end were rotten and decayed.
We repaired the walls and were waiting for the concrete man to pour the new coping when the weather in Atlanta changed. That is when we started having the heavy deluge of showers and all day rain that we experienced for a good week or more. The unusual amount of rain is what collapsed the pool walls.
We were willing and able to redo the wall work, at no charge even though our contract addresses inclement weather or other occurrences beyond our control. Mr. Oppenheimer would not allow us on his property to get the job started. Days went by trying to get his permission to begin drying out the project. He made many demands as far as insurance certificates, waivers, ( which involved our attorney), and a schedule of how the work would be done. Each and every one of his demands were met in a timely fashion.
He claims we left piles of waste wood and concrete rubble around the pool. Everything was cleaned up as evidenced by the photo he shared showing a perfectly clean deck. In summary, we arranged our crew and all the sub contractors involved to be able to rebuild the walls and complete the work within a week, most of them agreeing to leave other jobs to be able to help make this project right. Mr.
Oppenheimer is the reason his pool looks the way it does . He would be swimming right now at the price we originally agreed upon.
Was very happy to work with this company. They were kind and knowledgeable. Several other companies were not able to address my problem. They were able to identify and fix my problem easily. The installer was helpful and I appreciate their expertise.

We had our pool closed after not choosing to do this for 7 years. Our cover was old, needed stretching, and had to be tucked into the liner. The two men who came spent almost 2 hours closing our old pool and worked diligently until all was correct. They called before they came and arrived on time. They answered all our other questions about the pool issues we had. We were thrilled.

They Installed the liner and left a gash at bottom of steps, leak was caused from improper installation and they filled it with caulking when they installed it. this year after I opened the Pool the walls were filled with bubbles and the floor had moved due water damage under the liner cause by the failure of the injected caulking. Called and they sent the original installer to take pictures and now they are denying responsibility. I am proceeding to take legal action against them. STAY AWAY DO NOT ENGAGE IN BUSINESS WITH FACTORY DIRECT LINERS.INC

Factory Direct Liners, Inc. replaced my pool's lining four years ago. The owner met with me, examined the pool, explained the process and provided a quote. He was very professional. The workers did a good job in a reasonable amount of time. The actual price matched the quote and was quite reasonable. The owner checked back to see if we were satisfied with the new liner. I would use this company again.

put my deposit down in DEC 2010 and had the liner installed early spring with no real issues. The installer couldn't get my stair rail out of the ground so he had to cut it. I had to spend ~$50 to get a "deck cup" to resolve that issue. But other than that I've been pleased and they saved me ~$1000 from the other quotes I had gotten.

Don't be fooled and don't waste your money. You know a company is hard up when they have to rate their own selves on sites like these. Blaming competitors, Blame your poor sevice and workmanship!

In April 2007 I paid this company to install a new vinyl liner for my pool. When the installer, Mark, arrived I found out that they had previously installed a new liner for this pool in 2001.When i purchased my home in 2003 the liner was already destroyed and had a huge leak. Against my better judgement I decided to go ahead with the installation anyhow. BIG MISTAKE!! Mark did not install the liner correctly. He forgot to cut in one of the return valves so when I turned the filter system on water was going underneath the liner. After calling several times he came back and fixed the issue. But now my liner haad wrinkles on the floor of the pool. He advised me they would have to drain the pool in the fall to correct that. Well its fall and now my pool will not hold water. I have called 3 times this week and every time promised a call back. I have not received a call back and my pool is pretty much empty. I DO NOT recommend this company to anyone! After spending $2,800 you would think you were getting quality. Apparently not.
