This is not my usual eye clinic but I had moved the year before from Beaverton. I made an appointment here because I was having discomfort and swelling in my left eye. The doctor here was very nice, but she said I had a stye starting to form, which it was not, and gave me a prescription for antibiotics, which did nothing. The following week, I went to my primary doctor who put me on a steroids, thinking it was an inflamed nerve in my face. The steroids gave me some relief. A month later I went to my usual eye doctor in Beaverton for my annual eye exam , who said my lacrimal gland was swollen, indicating something more serious going on in my body. I was referred to OHSU Casey Eye Institute, where I saw an Opthamologist, and then an Oculo Plastic Surgeon. I had to have surgery, and am currently waiting for the biopsy results. I'm not sure why the doctor at Family Vision in Scappoose did not refer me to the Casey Eye Institute.
She misdiagnosed my eye condition.
