I am extremely dissatisfied by a recent discovery I made about Firestone Complete Auto Care location in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. I was on vacation in the area about a year ago, and I had an accident and had to have two tires replaced. Since I was not from the area, I decided to go to Firestone because I figured it was a reputable establishment. Last week I went to have the other two tires replaced, and I was informed that the tires Firestone put on my car a year ago were the wrong size. The tire size is printed on the inside of the car door, and using the correct size tire should be a basic competency of personnel working at Firestone. I remember specifically the technician at Firestone saying, "We do not have the exact same tires you have, but we have comparable ones." I assumed this meant the tires would at least be the correct size. It seems to me like the store did not have the correct size tires in stock, so they decided to sell me the wrong size. It turns out that having the wrong sized tires on your car is not a good thing, so I had to get all four tires replaced last week. The tires that Firestone put on my car would have lasted another year or two. The $250 I spent at Firestone was a complete waste! There are two possible explanations for this occurrence: 1) The personnel working at Firestone are incompetent or 2) The personnel working at Firestone are dishonest.
