Our 3 girls just started dancing and Acrobatics at Footnotes. Since we have moved a few times, we have been exposed to many dance studios. This is by far the BEST! John and Cheryl are not only talented but also very professional. They have created a wonderful atmosphere and an awesome studio! The teaching staff is also remarkable. They are enthusiastic, patient, and encouraging! Our girls cannot wait for their next dance class. If you are in the Alpharetta, Roswell, Duluth are then you should go check them out!!

Footnotes is an AWESOME place to dance! I did Hip-hop there last year, and when I watched the recital that year, I knew I wanted to do more classes the next year. The studio has so much energy. Everyone has a smile on their face when they walk in the studio each week. The dance school is really professional and they really put a lot of energy in the recital at the end of the year. John and Cheryl are both super nice and really good dancers! They love the kids that they teach! I would give the studio more than 5 stars if I could!

Footnotes has really introduced me to the world of dance and inspired me to improve myself as a dancer. Anyone who is open and willing will find themselves growing to love dance by going there. The VPC is amazing and recently placed platinum on the majority of their dances this past weekend at a competetion. They offer a wide variety of classes, and their teachers are quality and professional instructors.

My child has been dancing at Footnotes for 10 seasons and continues to love every minute. The teachers are very caring and supportive. There is a real feeling of community throughout the studio. My child has advanced in her craft and is now training to become a dance teacher. Everyone is welcome at Footnotes and I encourage all to come an experience a wonderful environment for learning and personal growth. Footnotes has helped to shape my child into the amazing young woman she is in a loving, caring, nurturing and supportive environment.
We have been attending Footnotes classes and recitals since they 1st opened 9 years ago. My kids love it there and typically take 2 or 3 classes a year each. From what I have seen, most parents drop their kids off although a few parents stay and read with siblings in the seating areas. It is a quality studio!
We started off at Footnotes when they opened almost 10 years ago and have watched the studio grow while maintaining their family feel. Footnotes has given my girls such a love for dance and helped them learn about cooperation and commitment. The girls love the fun learning environment and I appreciate that the studio owners care about their students and provide them a supportive, safe environment to learn and grow.
This is in response to the owners. As most of the girls are coming to the studio straight from school, they do bring in food (Burger King, McDonalds)AND siblings that are waiting for class to end have/eat snacks all the time as so food IS ALLOWED as well as drinks. Ms. Margret even hands out protein bars to the girls that request them. Yes, I think that all students should have fun while they dance but there's a difference between having fun dancing and PLAYING while the instructor is trying to teach and Ms. Jenna is ALWAYS yelling at her younger students because of this and there's no way that the owners would know this as they are in class teaching themselves. I'm used to CA and NY type of learning environment where students are FOCUSED and are not in class for playtime. For anyone going to tour the class, Go as a WALK-IN a few months after the season starts when the teachers have gotten comfortable with their students and you will see children running around the studio, food in the studio and Ms. Jenna yelling that is if she has to deal with more children that think they are on a playdate.

We are sorry that you feel this way about the quality of our studio. The views posted in this review are not exemplary of our reputation over the past 10 years. We are second generation studio owners and have been involved in this business our whole lives. FootNotes has grown steadily and we are an A+ accredited business on the BBB. We also pride ourselves on retaining 80% of our dancers from year to year. In response to the above review: Parents do not get to drop siblings off to run around the studio; We are however a family studio and all children are welcome here. It is in our literature that parents keep up with their little ones as this is a business. We do not allow food in the studio. (only water bottles) Certainly no toys. All of these topics are clearly posted in the studio and the website. That being said 90% of our dancers are considered recreational (1 or 2 classes/week) so shouldn't it be fun for them? Ms. Jenna is a favorite at our studio and is not constantly yelling. We invite anyone reading this review to come in first hand for a tour, meet the instructors and take home the most recent copy of our recital to make your own fair assessment of our studio.
My child has learned so much since she has been at FootNotes! She looks forward to going every week. The studio is very clean and the staff is wonderful. They sell all the dancewear we need. I drive by three dance studios to go there :-)
