I have been working with Frogs to Dogs for four years. They took ME from "I have no clue what I'm doing" to now my dog is a Therapy Dog who does work at Grady Hospital and works with with Department of Juvenile Justice. She is THAT well trained. Not only is my dog very well trained (and I still bring her to classes for refreshers or new skills) but they do AMAZING work for the community. They offer their services for FREE to certain groups who foster dogs so those dogs can be trained and then adopted into forever families. I have been volunteering the last few months with them helping to train dogs rescued from shelters. This group of talented individuals is second to none.

If you are the type of owner who loves and cherishes your dog as if it's one of your own children, please heed my warning: DO NOT board and train your dog with this company. My dog Mac loves people. However, he suffers from fear aggression towards dogs and I wanted to hire a professional trainer who could help with reducing my dog's reactive behavior through much needed dog-to-dog socialization. Based off of the glowing reviews, I decided on Frogs to Dogs. I paid in full for 3 weeks of in-home boarding and training. I was promised a Youtube playlist to show my dog's progress over the duration of his stay. The problems started when I couldn't reach Tom, the primary dog trainer, I frequently got his voicemail and maybe had two texts total during my dog's entire stay. On the last day of training, I arrived on time at the Avondale Estates location to pick-up my dog. Tom had my dog locked in a car, and when he emerged, he could barely handle my dog himself. It was obvious to me that my dog had learned absolutely nothing after almost 20 days. Worse, my dog had raw and bleeding sores on his feet which were NEVER explained by Tom. Please view the photos. I never received the Youtube playlist on the final day. It was only until I wrote a negative review of FtD when the playlist finally surfaced. A FULL DAY after, I should have gotten it. My dog may have been neglected or worse abused. I cannot standby without warning other dog owners. Do your research. Don't trust reviews.
I hired Frogs to Dogs for a customized in-home board and training program.

Dear Kudzu Users,
As a training & pet care company made up of professionals who chose to work within this field due solely to our unwavering love for animals, we take the claims made in this review very seriously. It is unfortunate that the client who voiced such grave concerns in this forum was unable to be reached via telephone for personalized correspondence related to Mac. Above all else, we are deeply saddened that any person would not be able to recognize our commitment to provide a loving, safe environment for all animals in our care. As referenced in E.W.'s review, we have an outstanding history of excellence that is upheld in each interaction with the hundreds of clients that we work with on a weekly basis.
Though we stand by our quality of care with steadfast confidence, we are happy to address E.W's concerns. The empty parking lot referenced in this post belongs to Lifeline Animal Project, one of our community partners with whom we work closely to provide free training to rescue dogs in need. This is also the location of many of our outdoor training classes, as it has proven to be an excellent environment for large group training classes for years.
Tom and Zsolt are housemates and co-trainers who provide collaborative care for all Frogs to Dogs clients, prompting Zsolt's role in the frequent and responsive communication reported in this review. Please reference these 17 dated Youtube videos of Mac's training progress with Tom by clicking on the link below. In these videos you will note that Mac is free of injury or duress as he happily learns to socialize with other dogs.
Although pet taxi services are not typically included in regular board training or pet sitting services, our trainers were happy to bring Mac to his grooming appointment at the end of this stay. From there, it was our recommendation that E.W. meet up with the trainers during one of our training classes so that Tom could teach E.W. the skills that would be required to follow through with the positive trajectory of a board and train arrangement. Being the fact that dog training is a highly relational process between a human and canine, we firmly believe and continuously communicate that this is an essential portion of the board and train process.
We invite all prospective clients to come to our classes to speak with our trainers and to witness our work. We are certain that our love for dogs will be assuredly clear in those encounters. Frogs to Dogs is based on a quality of care that treats our clients' pets as our very own, and we look forward to the opportunity to provide such care to your pets in the future.
My dog Garvey was a puppy 6 years ago when he was found in a garbage dumpster in DeKalb County. As a very smart, but hard-headed dog, his life could have ended shortly thereafter at the DeKalb Animal Shelter where we suspect his sister met her end. Instead he found Zsolt, his ever patient and loving trainer. Garvey now knows advanced obedience moves such as hand signals and agility. My other dog, Macon, is a small dog and keeps Garvey company. Recently I moved into a newly renovated house, complete with new living room furniture, rugs and white-painted window sills. I despaired how I was going to keep both my dogs from running amuck in the new front room, charging the front window, and the little dog from peeing on the new carpets. I thought about baby gates, shock collars and worried. Alot. After a brief consultation with Zsolt, he assured me the dogs could be trained to avoid the front room. After a few days of gradual training, I was amazed at the results. My living room/dining room area is now dog free and the best part: NO BABY GATES! Kudos to Frogs to Dogs and their amazing trainer, Zsolt!

I am so thankful to my friend who recommended me Frogs to Dogs. Amy is just a loving and caring person that I can trust. I know my dogs are safe and happy with her. And Andrew always makes sure I have Amy when I need help. Thank you from me, Killa and Evangie!

From the very beginning, From Frogs to Dogs has been excellent to work with. Sue came over for an in-home meet and greet with my kitty and was very thorough with not only her questions but took the time to address all of my concerns since my cat tends to become stressed very easily. After coming back from a trip overseas, I came home to a happy, stress-free cat and a nice note about how everything went. Can't recommend this business enough and will definitely use them again.

F2D is amazing. Quality trainers that care about you AND your dog. They take the time to get to know your dog during all of the training sessions. Best value in the city.

My dog, Macy, has been enrolled in unlimited basic obedience classes for several months, and we just love going every week. Macy is good with commands, but has a lot of social issues, so Taylor takes special care to incorporate interactions with other dogs and people during class while also making sure not to push Macy past her boundaries. What really impressed me about Frogs to Dogs, though, is their quick action, helpfulness and level of expertise during an emergency. Last weekend, my husband and I were 3000 miles away and our dog was in a kennel. After she'd been there a couple days, we got a call saying that she refused to come out of her suite and wouldn't let anyone near her. When anyone got close, she growled and bared her teeth, and if anyone tried to slip a leash over her head, she attacked it. She needed to be removed from the kennel, but I didn't know who to send to pick her up, considering that nobody was able to get near her. Finally, I called Frogs to Dogs, and Andrew got back to me very quickly. He sent a trainer, Tom, to pick her up that very same day. Tom patiently worked with Macy and was able to get her out of her suite without anyone getting hurt, then drove her to my house where my petsitter was ready to take care of her. I can't express how grateful my husband and I were. Thanks, Frogs to Dogs!

My goal going into training was to build a strong relationship between me and my puppy so that we could both learn to communicate effectively with each other. I started bringing my 4 month old puppy to Frogs to Dogs because our previous training school was just too expensive and didn't offer enough class time. Frogs to Dogs offers LIFETIME training classes with the very best trainers! I couldn't be more thrilled with my puppy's progress since our recent switch to F2Ds. She's learned the basic commands including sit, stay, down, come, focus, touch, and others. She was also able to move up to the more advanced class in such a short amount of time and fit right in with the more advanced students! She's had classes with Taylor, Zsolt, and Tom, and each one of them has been able to help me teach her new commands, polite behavior, and socialization techniques. They offer indoor and outdoor classes which is great because my puppy learns to listen and focus on me in varying conditions. Whenever I'm out in public with my puppy, she is ALWAYS complimented on her polite manners. I highly highly recommend Frogs to Dogs training to anyone looking to build a stronger relationship with their pup. Thanks Frogs to Dogs!

Frogs to Dogs trainers were originally recommended to me by various owners at local dog parks. We've used Frogs to Dogs for the past 3 years for pet sitting, day-visits, day camp and training. They have excellent and experienced staff who have gone above and beyond to care for our fur kids and help us learn how to be better care-givers.

My nephew served in the Peace Corps for 2 years in Namibia, Africa, and is returning to the US. Wicket, his great companion for 2 years was shipped to the US. Tom Dailey met us at the house as we arrived from the airport with Wicket and did a wonderful job of helping us acclimate Wicket to his new environment. I can't say enough great things about Frogs to Dogs. If you ever have a need for any kind of dog training/socialization, I highly recommend Frogs to Dogs.

I was referred to Frogs to Dogs by a friend who has several dogs once considered unadoptable, but who have become her beloved housepets. My own dog had spent the first 13 months of her life in a shelter, so she was unsocialized and a little afraid of people and other dogs. I knew I was out of my depth, so I signed Cagney up for the unlimited lifetime obedience classes. Over the next months, in a fun atmosphere and in the company of people who understood the challenges of dog parenting, I watched my dog grow confident and I learned how to provide the behavior cues that will keep her safe and happy. Zsolt, Gina, Vicki, Tom and Allison are amazing trainers and they understand that we don't want our dogs to lose the sense of fun that made us love them in the first place. It turns out a well-behaved dog can still be a goofy prankster. And a goofy prankster who doesn't dart into traffic or lunge at other dogs is pretty awesome. There aren't even words to express how grateful I am to these trainers and I know every dog I have in the future will become a Frogs to Dogs student. My dog "graduated" yesterday, but we'll be at tonight's class as much for fun as training. I always thought it was cool that old timers and freshly minted pups were in the same class. Now my one-time terror gets to show the kids how a proper dog behaves.

Hats off to Andrew, Zsolt, Vicki, Gina, Tom, Allison and others who have helped and continue to help me shape Gracie, our beautiful but crazy pittie mix into a great companion. When we took her in as a rescue in late 2010, she was a year old with leash aggression issues that were bad and getting worse. A neighbor tipped us off to FTD, and in early 2011 we started with the group reactive classes. At first she could only work on the sidelines, but over time and with Zsolt and Vicki's help she mainstreamed into classes. Zsolt encouraged me to bring her to as many classes as possible, and helped me work on her socialization with the shelter dogs from Lifeline in Avondale. By late 2011 we were joining the outside obedience class too, and just recently, she's made it to indoor obedience classes--I'm so proud of her and so grateful for Team Gracie. FTD flat-rate unlimited class model is unique. It really works for me--it's flexible with my schedule, and I love that it's a different mix of dogs in each class. And I'm learning so much about animal behavior, and about building a trusting relationship with your dog. It's been hard work, but to see Gracie moving forward makes it so worth it. So whether you've got a complex creature like Gracie, or just want to learn obedience basics with a new puppy or a shelter dog -- FTD training is the way to go!
