Not only rude, as other people mentioned, but took so little time listening to me that he didn't even understand what I was trying to tell him. He gave me no help whatsoever. Try Dr. Abrams at UCSD. Not a fuzzy-wuzzy, but good doctor and you feel like you're being cared for properly, as opposed to Gelb.

if you need work on your hand or arm and are in North County, pity yourself, there are few of this speciality thus I found myself in his office. To be fair he knows his stuff, but he is one of the rudest doctors I've ever met. Saw him scream at one of his employees right in front of me, and is generally brusque and arrogant in personality.

I wish you luck with him, there is a shortage of hand/wrist specialists in North County so you may find yourself stuck with him -- he has a doozy of a bad temper.
