I think the title says it all. Quality food from local farms, waiters are knowledgable about what they are serving. You'll have to compete for attention from the table of 8 women next to you though.

Georges at the Cove is a great restaraunt in La Jolla right on prospect. The atmosphere is very romantic with the beautiful ocean view. Very up-scale and great service. The lamb was exceptional. Expect to spend $60+ per person.

For all the hype I'd heard about this restaurant (and I do mean hype) I ws quite disappointed in the food and the view. The restaurant is too high up to get a great view of the waves. I don't mind paying for good food, I do mind paying higher prices for just average food. I've been there twice and both times were disappointed, I won't be going back.

I enjoyed Georges the other night and had a great time. The view is fabulous along with the service. It is hard to get into and needs reservations in advance. The menu is a little up scale and will cost you if you want to experience this atmosphere. I would go back and order the tuna app. again.

1. Our hostess was awesome! She was so pleasant and sweet. 2. Our waitress was from another planet. She was preoccupied with other things i suppose (the place wasn't even that busy when we got there)She was terrible. 3. The food was great, but not ground breaking which i suspected that it would be considering all the plaques and awards displayed in the hostess area. 4. The drinks were great! They make their own infused vodkas for yummy drinks like bloody mary's which needs peppered flavored vodka. 4. In the end, it was that view that made my saturday afternoon. It was outstanding!

This place has a beautiful view of the ocean. Great place for a "fancy" lunch. Amazing to sit outside and enjoy the view while eating their wonderful shrimp tacos (my fav). Busy on nights and weekends- so you might want to make a reservation. It is pricy, but so worth it.

I was informed Georges was a great restaurant, but I didn't get why until I went there and had dinner. The view and the atmosphere were awesome. The inside dining was really classy. The service was great and the food was delicious. Good portions of food, enough to savor the tastes, and just enough to fill you up so youre not over stuffed.

Wow, what a view! Yes, the ocean view is great but George has the best looking waitresses in town. Somehow the beautiful people flock to La Jolla. The bean soup is fantastic.

George's has fine dining and also the bar area and Ocean Terrace. All three are wonderful. We take clients to the fine dining restaurant quite often, and I am amazed at the knowledge of the serving staff. They know everything about how the food is prepared, even where it comes from. The dishes are amazing and taste as wonderful as they look. The fine dining restaurant is the epitome of class. The bar and Ocean Terrace are quite reasonable at lunch and the food and view are superb.
