They are very expensive. She charged me $12 to sew on 6 buttons AND, I had to buy the buttons myself! I do not live near this business and had to make 4 trips to finally get the items finished the way we first discussed. The first 2 times I saw what I thought we had discussed, would have been my end product, turned out terrible. I too had to purchase the material for the alterations on top of the cost of them. She really didn't alter much but added pieces (material I bought) to the already made items and shortened a dress. 4 items cost me over $150 - I will not be using this company again

My daughter decided she wanted to go to her Senior prom 24 hrs before the event. We founded a dress but it needed some major alterations ( hem, straps adjusted, taken in on sides and front, and beading sewn on). I called Gill's Alteration after hours and she said she could do it. Her quick response and expertise surpassed my wildest imagination! Not only did she have it ready, but all the alterations was dead on. My daughter is a size 0 and normally more alterations has to been after the first. I couldn't believe how well the dress fitted my daughter!! If you ever need anything altered, please go see Gill at Gill Alterations in Marietta. Highly recommended!!!

Very professional and quick turn around. My dress had to be taken in in a few places, and they did an amazing job with it. I was very pleased and highly recommend Gill's!

The staff at Gill's is superb! We took my daughters prom dress in for alterations and what a great job. The dress looked like it was made for my daughter- you couldn't tell that it had been altered at all. They were very professional and extremely personable. I would go there again and again.

My daughter needed a costume for a school project after finding out that the one we ordered would not arrive in time. Gill's Alterations made a beautiful custom costume for my daughter in 3 days! It was perfect. Everyone was very nice and helpful and we will definitely be using them again!

After reading the reviews, I thought this would be a good place for alterations. However, I didn't realize how difficult it would be for them to hem my pants. I dropped off 3 pieces of clothing. 2 pants and a gown for graduation. They measured one pair of the pants and assumed that the other pair needed the same alterations. When I picked up my garments, The gown was not pressed like I asked (so I had to wait for 10 minutes while they did it). I took the pants home and one pant was fine. The other was too long. So, I waited a week or so to take the pant back because of work. The day I planned taking the one pair back to be fixed, the second pair's hem fell apart. I had to go back to drop them BOTH off and asked to be refunded my money. I felt as though I shouldn't have to pay for a service that should have been done correctly the first time. Instead, they said they don't do refunds Maybe they should put a sign some where that let's the customer know. Needless to say, I will not be going back and everyone that I know will be getting a poor review of this place as well.

I gave them a pair of black slacks to be hemmed and "skinny-ed" up, for lack of a better word. The pants I had were labeled as Regular fit, but were way too baggy, so I took it to Gill's Alterations and was measured, pinned, and hemmed correctly. After it was done, the pants fit amazingly. Slim fit like I like, as well as being hemmed perfectly. They both know exactly what they are doing, and do a very good job at it. Super happy with my altered slacks. 5*****

LOVE LOVE LOVE! I bought my wedding dress off the rack, it was a size 12... I am a size 4-6. It was pleated with buttons down the back and was QUITE the project! Sandy did a BEAUTIFUL job! It fit perfectly, was done in a timely manner and was extremely reasonably priced. I wouldn't go anywhere else! She is so friendly and pays close attention to detail :) Would (and have) recommend to a friend!

First, I chose this place based on the number of stellar reviews, and I am shocked by the praise it's been given. I dropped off 3 pairs of jeans on Monday to have 1 inch taken off and hemmed. They told me the price (which seemed a bit high to me) and said I could pick them up on Thursday. Wednesday afternoon I received a call asking what I wanted done... After he wrote it down 3 days before. Then she tried to tell me to pick them up on Monday! I said no, you told me Thursday I need them this weekend. It took several repetitions of this for her to say ok... And then she called me 4 hours later and said she'd forgotten what I said I wanted AGAIN! How hard is it to write down and/or remember 1 inch?!? I finally told her not to touch my jeans, and I'd pick then back up the next day. When I picked them back up she argued with me about how she could have done it like I had been unreasonable and had no reason to tell them to forget about it. As I was leaving she said they'd give me a good price next time, but you could not pay me to set foot in that shop again! In all fairness, I never even got to see how they do with alterations. Maybe they're stellar, but I'm certainly not going ti go through the horrible communication and customer service again to find out!

My first experience and it was excellent! Sandy was so pleasant, the slacks I had altered fit perfectly, price very fair, and I am definitely going to go to Gill's from now on--really Great!

I've been going to Gill's Alterations for a few years now and they are the only ones I trust for all my clothes. From getting my jeans hemmed, pants shortened to getting my dresses fixed, they do an excellent job. I am very happy with their work and they have very reasonable prices for their quality of work. I highly recommend trying them out!

Based on reviews, I brought a bridesmaid dress in for alterations. First, I was blown away by the cost. I just needed about an inch taken in on the sides, and a slight hem adjustment. My bill was $100! But I felt bad walking out, so I left the dress anyways. We agreed on a pickup date and time. That day, I arrived as instructed but my dress wasn't ready - she asked me if I could come back later. Having traveled 30 mins from Roswell with a 6 month old, I really couldn't. So she asked me I could stay while she worked on it. Just then, a steady stream of customers started in needing measurements taken. I sat for about 45 mins (with no progress done on my dress since she was busy with new customers), when I finally decided to leave to get lunch and come back later - my son was getting restless. I came back a full hour later - dress still wasn't finished. I sat and waited again. When I tried it on, the quality was definitely very good - the dress fit perfectly. I kind of expected an apology or maybe a discount for having wasted half of my day, but nope. I definitely didn't feel like a valued customer and I won't be going back.

Needed my dress for my son's wedding altered. I was a little leary, because she took no measurements, just a couple of pins. When I picked up my dress, I was pleasently surprised, it fits perfectly! The work is superb and the price was right. Highly recemmend Gills.
