I disagree with the review that the doctor is inattentive. I've seen him a few times in the past 3 years or 2-3 times because I am concerned about Type 2, Diabetes having family history. He gives me prescriptions for the blood glucose meters and test strips....I do not have Diabetes. I find that very helpful allowing the individual the ability to monitor blood glucose levels. If Dr. G was inattentive...why would he allow me to have a prescription for diabetic supplies? He must been having a "bad day" when that reviewer saw Dr. G. I also like the fact that Dr. G is not skinny and packing a few extra pounds, too. I like my doctors and chefs to have a few extra pounds because that demonstrates human fraility or "nobody perfect". The three times I met with Dr. G was overall 5 stars so that is my rating.

I choose Dr. Golden after my insurance changed. I was/am very disappointed. I am only 35 years old and I have severe autoimmune disorders and was very happy to find a doctor who "specializes" in internal medicine and endocrinology. The first time I saw him I was not impressed at all but I was not feeling well. I was treated like a hypochondriac. I even had blood labs from a previous doctor with me to show him how serious my thyroid disorder was and how bad my anemia was. He blew me off, ran more labs and said see you later. I immediately found another endocrinologist who I love. A year later I decided to try him again thinking perhaps I over-reacted. This time I just used him as an internist. I had had severe head and face pain down and my vision was blurry. He came in the room, pushed on my back, listened to my heart, looked at my eyes, said you have a pulled muscle, walked out of the room and never came back in. While I was talking to him in the beginning he seemed very put out and bored that I was even there. I sat in the room after he left for 10 mins thinking he was coming back and I walked out of my room and he was sitting in his office and I said well, are we done? He said yes, you're fine. I was livid. I will never ever put my healthcare in his hands again. I ended up at the ER that night with a severe sinus infection

My husband and I have been patients of Dr Golden's for more than 10 years. He is kind and compassionate. He takes time to listen to you and will work with you to find the best resolution to your problem. He is an internist, with expertise in Diabetes care. Very knowledgeable and a great choice for a primary care doctor.
