Dallas does top notch work. Don't know who the clown is complaining other than wrecking his truck. Can't please some people obviously and the damage to Dallas truck far exceeded any damage that may or may not have been done to his car. Dallas runs a business not a day care center for cars. If you want it done right then see him, but don't drop it off and expect miracles on a ramen noodle budget.

I am the owner of GreaseMonkey Garage and I stand behind all of my work, I take care of my customers and do an excellent job. What this particular customer leaves out of his bad review is that I loaned him my personal vehicle to drive so that he would have transportation while I completed the work on his vehicle, which he wrecked. After the accident I asked for my vehicle to be returned to me and that is when things went south. He expected to be able to keep my vehicle, even after the accident and was not happy when I asked for it back and he decided to take his car back. When the car was dropped off I informed him that I would need 2 weeks to complete it (for the original list of floor pans, wiring, throwout bearing, timing etc). 1 week into the car I am informed that he has someone coming to look at buying the motor and that he wants to do the LSx engine conversion we talked about. Now mind you this conversation was a shooting the breeze conversation about possibilities and when I quoted him a price of $1600 that was NOT including the $1000 initial quote of the other work already being performed, he assumed that would be included even though this was a completely separate conversation. Also during that conversation he asked me how long it would take to do the swap, I told him about a month. That was assuming he would talk to me about the conversion ahead of time, gather all the parts and bring the car in when everything was ready.

I took my 1969 GTO to Grease Monkey in June of 2013 for welding of the driver side floor pan, undercoat and rewire the car. Dallas, the owner, said it would take a week to complete this work and all parts were provided, we were paying for labor. Total job was supposed to cost $1,000.00. He also stated for an extra cost of $600.00 (in labor) plus parts cost, he would do a 5.3 lsx swap, but it would take a month to complete. 2 months later, the only work done was the driver side floor pan was cut out, the new floor pan was partially welded in, the old wiring harness and engine was removed. He charged us $1,802.94 and said if we didn't pay that he wouldn't allow us to pick up the car. We are in the military and were moving in September so we needed to get it done. He kept saying he would get to it in a few days whenever asked and then responded something else came up, this lasted 2 months. Plus, once we picked up the car and the parts for the engine we noticed damage to the car that was not previously there. Dallas stated that he didn't know how it happened. So far, the parts to replace what he broke, lost or didn't correctly provide have cost $1,635.15 plus we have to pay another mechanic at least $1600.00 to do/redo the work. We don't know the final cost or even the final issues because the car is still being worked on. Furthermore, this does not include the damage done to the vehicle while in Dallas's care. We were completely ripped off
