I went to a family members burial at Green Meadow and noticed the trees were removed from the area close to the entrance. A funeral home has been built on the property and it was very convenient not having to drive to another cemetery for the burial. My family inquired about additional improvements to the cemetery and were told plans to sod the area without grass by the entrance were being made. The staff was courteous and professional throughout the funeral and burial.

If you want to see the state of your future in thisgarden. Take a drive down Legion Drive between Highway 138 and the Gardens office, Look at the grave sights under the elegant trees. They are washing away, and have no grass. here is a copy of the response I received today when I asked about the palns for fixing this. From: Scot H. Ward President, Scot Ward Funeral Services In April 2009 we raised the markers of your family members as I told you we would in my email reply in March 2009. In this same email I explained that I do not have a set time frame for removing some trees from this section. As you may imagine, this project to remove trees and sod with grass would cost approximately $15,000 to $20,000. During the last year of our country's economic decline our cemetery sales have been drastically affected. The primary source of income for a cemetery is the selling of burial spaces on a pre need basis, therefore with our sales being reduced I cannot plan for major repairs and renovations. I apologize for not being able to give you a more definite time frame, but I will not promise you something I cannot live up to. I am willing to discuss this further with you in person. Please contact me to set up a meeting time if you would like to discuss this more. Sincerely, Scot H. Ward President, Scot Ward Funeral Services o - 770-483-7216 f - 770-483-7218 c - 770-722-8679
