I took my 2003 Ford Van with a V10 engine to Gunnell's to see if they could fix a strong engine vibration and pinging. I wasn't sure they could find the cause and get it fixed, because a few months ago I took it to another mechanics shop in Mesa for the same problem. Those guys changed all the plugs, wires, etc and charged me a small fortune, But the problem was still there. It was really a mystery to me. So before selling the van I thought I would give another try at having someone getting it fixed. The guys at Gunnell's found a couple of loose ignition coils. They took care of those and now the van runs smooth. There is no more engine pinging and it clearly has more power. Jeff explained that sometimes those kinds of things don't show up on the diagnosis machine, but they took the time to go thru the possible causes until they got if figured out. I am very impressed! And very importantly their fee was a lot less than I thought it would be. I would definitely recommend these guys to anyone.

My van had troubles with stalling at intersections. One of my neighbors recommended Gunnells. I was impressed with their friendliness and service. Their mechanic told me it was a fuel pump. I let them change the fuel pump even though they were going to be charging more then I thought I should have to pay, but because they came highly recommended I let them do it. They changed the part quickly, but when I picked up the car they charged me almost 50 dollars more then they quoted me, and on top of that the car still had problems. I called back the next day, and set up another appointment. They said they would look at it again, and take care of it. They had to take it to Kelly Automotive on Horne & Southern to get the check engine light diagnosed. They found out that the reason the van was dying was because of a faulty mass airflow sensor. I had to pay 200 dollars to get it fixed. I wish that they would have diagnosed the problem instead of guess that it was the fuel pump. I could have saved 500 dollars by going to kelly automotive first. If you have car problems go somewhere other then Gunnells.

I thought I had a problem with my car's front end. They looked at it and determined it was only a tire problem. They rotated the tires and sent me on my way. Many places would have stuck me with a huge bill but Gunnell's was honest and fixed only what was wrong. This is not the first time they have proven to me that they are reliable. I will give them all my business.

I had a serious problem with my cars front wheel alignment. After realizing my tires had been virtually ruined due to this problem, I searched kudzu.com, and found this store. I set up an appointment, was there at the appointment time, and received great service and was out in less than thirty minutes. The mechanic that did the alignment is named Dennis. Before doing the alignment he came and spoke with me directly to verify the problem, and once was done counseled me on what he did, and what I could do to prevent this again. One thing I noticed is that this location seems to be set up for serious 4X4 modifications, but also does car repair, tires, etc.

It is rare to encounter a car service business that you feel is honest - but Gunnell's is all that and more. Never a problem and when they could have "faked" me out they didn't. Instead they were upfront and recommended less costly solutions or to an expert who could do the job better for less. Been 5 years and counting....a new record for me.

Gunnells has been "my only tire store" for several years now. The Gunnells and their staff always treat my family and me with the best of customer service, delivered with courtesy and respect. It's great to know how well my three vehicles, two daughter-drivers and my wife will be treated when they have to deal with tire issues on their own. This business exceeds my expectations every time I go in.

I have only had the opportunity to use this particular store on one occasion but they have earned a customer for life. I came to them with a repair of a tire that I had a warranty for from another tire service company but was unable to get my vehicle to their competitor. Gunnell's Tire not only replaced two of my tires (because I only buy my tires in pairs)but honored the warranty on the competitors tire. I was floored by their customer service and their willingness to make my experience a good one. I have since recommended them to many of my friends.
