I purchased an AC unit from Hackney in 2010 with a 10 year warranty. Over the years they've been exceptional in response and repair of my unit. Up until the past year. Last year I had some major issues that required extensive warranty work. New compressor, evaporator, replacement of the Freon lines. To my knowledge the work was done satisfactorily. However, I'm no expert on this stuff and, as in previous years, I took them at their word. The unit seemed to be working properly and cooling the house down. Flash forward to July 2nd when it became unable to cool the house down to the desired temperature. Thermostat was set to 74 yet when it got over 100 out, it couldn't cool any farther than 79 degrees. In past years, this was a prelude to the unit failing. Charged me 125 to come out and say that nothing was wrong. Came again on Monday, again, nothing wrong. Gave a 2 star review on FB figuring this might spur them on to make things right, nope, they blocked me from messaging them, won't return phone calls. Other ac company came out and said that they had damaged the unit doing previous repairs. Kinked freon lines, burned insulation incorrect parts replaced in the evap along with dirty coils. Est 775.00 to repair and wasn't sure if it would work after that. Hackney will not respond to any calls. Suspect quality went down after son took over the biz last year.

Called to have someone come out to see why my handler stopped working last night. They wanted $85 just to come out. I said nevermind, other companies come out and assess for free: Hackney promptly hung up the phone on me.

I needed a new air conditioner, so I started looking around. I got a few quotes but wasn't satisfied, so I looked harder and found Hackney. They sent over a quote for the same type of a/c, same install time, but at a significantly lower price than the rest. Needless to say, I chose Hackney for the job and they did great!

My heater was acting up for a while, so I called around for service. Hackney gave me the best price, so I had them come out to have a look. They were able to find the problem and get it fixed within just a couple of hours, and the man working on it was very polite and professional. I would recommend Hackney for sure.

As a business owner myself, I know it takes a good team of employees to keep the wheels turning. I've used this company before and was very happy with the work done. This last time I used them I was extremely satisfied from the moment they answered the phone, the repair man they sent out and his honest opinion and the sales man that came out, the repair or replace options I was given were fair and honest. I ended up replacing my 12 year old unit. The staff took care of everything for me from registering my units warranties and doing my rebate paperwork for me. This is what prompted my to write a review. This is a hassle free place to do business and I highly recommend them to anyone in any need of a/c service.

I found Hackney online when I needed a quote to replace my old a/c. I called them and they had someone out the same day to give me an estimate. Got the job done a few days later, install was fast and clean.

I had a quote from a different a/c company that I thought was high and that they were just trying to sell me a new unit. I called SRP electric and they referred me to Hackney Inc. I had Kevin the technician out and he performed a $300 repair that got my unit up and running. The previous company said my unit needed to be replaced. It has been a month and my unit is still working great. When I replace Hackney will get my business.

I called Hackney for a 2nd opinion and as a referral from a friend. Hackney came out the same day and found that my condenser line had a leak and repaired the line and added freon. My original a/c company told me I had a bad indoor coil and quoted almost $2000 to replace. Hackney found the actual problem and said it was not indoor coil. Hackney's honesty saved me over $1000. Will use again and recommend.

A few months back we developed a leak in our 12 year old unit and Hackney did the repairs. At the time, we didn't have the money to spend on a unit. When I knew it was time to replace our unit I called Hackney out again to give us a quote. They offer financing so they worked with me on getting that set up so it didn't dent our pocket books. I decided to go with Hackney because of their reputation and positive feedback. This is an upstanding and honest company. I've been around the bush a few times with other valley companies, but never was I as satisfied as I am with Hackney. Go with Hackney, you won't be disappointed. -Jim

We contacted Hackney Air Conditioning after cross-referenceing them with other companies on Angie's List, the BBB and the Registrar of Contractors websites. We have several rental properties and wanted to make sure we chose a good company to do business with. When Drew came out to explain the options we had for replacement units he gave us an in depth presentation about all types of units allowing us to choose the best option. I felt no pressure and he was very clear and educated on products. We in turn used him to install a new unit on our home and will definintely use him for our further projects on our rental properties. Doing our research on this company proved to be worthwile because the experience we had was smooth and refreshing! Thank you Hackney, I will recommend you. - MC

After an informative sales presentation, the techs who installed my new unit were very professional. Found Hackney on the BBB with an A + review which helped my decision in choosing them. I received other quotes and this company beat all others when it came to price. I recommend their service. Thanks!

I had a free check up from another company and they told my my compressor bad and needed new system, call Hackney for second opinion. They found wrong capacitor installed and compressor over heated. Hackney Replaced capacitor and system runs great

When our unit failed, I gathered estimates from 4 a/c companies. All four companies had good credentials however Hackney A/C had the best price to replace my a/c unit with the new Trane system my wife and I wanted. I have had my a/c unit installed for about two months ans so far utility bills are lower and unit is working good.

Our air conditioning system went out and we called Hackney for service. Technician was ok and knew what he was doing. We bought a new air conditioner and the people who installed where 3 hours late. Spent hours on the cell phone to his wife. It took 9 hours and when they left water had filled my attic and ruined my ceiling. Drew Hackney still will not return my calls and when I wrote a complaint to the registrar of contractors they have several different lincenses. Im sure the multiple licence issue is to divert and discourage complaints. Eight thousand dollars to Hackney and $350 to a dry wall repair later, my unit is not cooling and the on call service will not answer. Appointment with the attorney general office net week.

I wanted to add to my review that when they installed my new unit, Hackney never redirected the air ducts to our bedrooms and they are still hot in the Summer and cold in the Winter. That was one of the main issues we were having & Drew reassured us it would be taken care of when they installed the new unit and he even put it in our proposal. When we realized that this had not been done & called his office to report both of these problems, messages were taken but Drew never returned our calls. I truly think it was because he knew that it was a quick & easy sale and when he found out the job was not done correctly he already had our money so why bother. Such poor customer service. Also the giant hole that was left uncovered in our hall for months was totally uncalled for. Then the vent cover was installed months later. I can't even find filters to fit the size they cut.Supposingly the vent was on order & when it came in they would install it. End of story. Like it or not was their attitude. The office staff was really rude. And instead of addressing the problems they just blew us off. The owner (Drew) Hackney & and his company should be ashamed of themselves.
