This was the first time I've ever used Hammond Services and I must say I was more than pleased. I had an after hour plumbing emergency, they were at my home within the hour!! Had me up and running within a few hours. Very professional,thorough and affordable!! I would definitely recommend this company over and over again!! Serena P.

This company charged me $144 to "replace toilet supply"'. Turns out a toilet supply is a $5 hose that is screwed onto the tank of the toilet and the water pipe. It was not explained this was a simple repair that did not need to be done by a plumber. When I emailed the owner to ask that the bill be adjusted to reflect the cost of the part and and the 3 minute installation time, I was told they were a high quality service provider not a low cost one, and was offered a $25 credit - which I did not accept. I am not sure how much quality it takes to screw on a hose, but $144 for this was highway robbery!

I just received another great example of service today from Hammond Services. From the way they answer the phone all the way to how the tech handled himself in my home. They just know how to get it done right. Congratulations for a job always well done!

Been using Hammond Services for all my plumbing and HVAC work for over 12 years now. They demonstrate time and time again that they are a very well run company. Top-notch service across the board. I recommend them to everybody.

We paid for one year of AC/Furnace tune-up service. We received the two visits that we paid for. At that time we stated that we did not wish to renew. However, we received a bill. Called, and the lady said that it was not a bill, just a reminder. Looked like a bill. The next month, we receive another bill ("reminder"), this time with a late fee added with a note that we were expected to contact them. We called again, and requested that they send us a statement showing that no bill was owed since we did not receive the services. Over a week, still no such statement.

In 2001, we made a major change in the way we bill for the annual service agreement renewals. We have since overhauled it once again because we had a few customers complain. We called the customer who submitted the review above, and this was resolved very quickly.
We had an appointment to get an estimate from Hammond for the rough-in electrical work on our basement refinishing (kitchen, closet, bath and 1 bedroom). The appointment was from 3-5pm. 5:30 comes and no word, so I call the office. I was told that the guy was on the way and would be there shortly. "Chris" finally showed up around 6:20 without even a "sorry I'm late". I showed him what I needed done and he took my email address (but no notes on what was to be done.) and told me that he would get me the estimate the following day. 2 days later I get an email estimate (from his cell phone- no details or explanations -just the quote) and it was WAY overpriced. 2.5 times more expensive than any other estimate that we got! It seemed to me that they did not want our business and tried to price themselves out of the running. I would have appreciated a "no thanks" a lot more than the colossal waste of time.

I was not aware of this Kudzu review until now. I want to say that this is Not how we normally operate! We normally schedule by giving a 2-hour window. The dispatchers are required to call the customer to let them know if we are running late. We normally write the proposal in the field during the initial visit. Our pricing is normally very competitive. It wasn't long after the date of this review that Chris resigned. I can only assume that his mind was not where it should have been.
