I boarded my Dog over the Labor Day holiday. The one previous time that my dog stayed there, his nose was bleeding and completely raw from trying to get out the cage. I thought bringing his bed from home to put in the cage would make him more comfortable. When I returned to pick him up, His bed was returned to me COVERED IN FECES. I could not believe they didn't wash it or anything. They left it in the cage with my dog the whole 4 days he was there. I asked to speak with the manager, and of course she wasn't there. I was promised a phone call from the office manager the following morning, but it never came. When I called, the person answering the phone asked who I was. When I advised who I was, the manager was conveniently not available again. About 6 hours later, I get a call back from a very unapologetic office manager stating that they had "temps" looking over the animals during the holiday, and the temp was no longer there, so she could not get her side of the story. As if she couldn't call this "temp" to find out why my dog was left to sleep in FECES. Not that it would have mattered at that point! I was never offered an apology, or any type of compensatory discount for the filthy environment my dog was exposed to. That was my second visit to the Hiram Animal Hospital and my LAST. Board at your own risk. Just don't ask who will be caring for your pet, because they don't know either.
