Don't know if he is a good dentist. The next 10 years should show. But for sure he is not ethical as a businessman. He advertises like a member of all these insurance plans while he does not have contract with any of them. When asked before the initial visit he confirmed his inolvement, after he presented the charges representing 60% of cost in a plan that pays 90% he denied anything. Insurance companies protect their members by giving a quarantee of certain level of service, with Barton there is no guarantee. In addition I doubt that his service is worth $500 per tooth more than with other good dentist. I feel robbed, and all I got for $500 was a single use teeth leaning set. Not a good deal.

Obviously carllupo has me confused with another dentist. I have NEVER advertised my practice as being a member of insurance plans. While we do accept insurance from the majority of dental insurance companies, we only particpate in 3 dental insurance plans. There is a difference betwen the two types of insurance. If he meant teeth cleaning set, I have NEVER charged that much for an initial exam, cleaning and x-rays. Much of what carllupo says in his statement does not make sense. I encourage anyone to call my office if they are concerned, which they shoudn't be, with this review.
I have been going to Dr. Barton for over 15 years, and have had many dental procedures performed by him. I have never had a dentist that I felt more comfortable with. I would highly recommend him to anyone.

Let's face it, going to the dentist is not many people's favorite thing to do. But Dr. Barton makes it the best experience that it can be. He always is on schedule and gets you out quickly. My entire family uses him -- even the children.
