I recently purchased a new home and contacted HIR to inquire about their services. Don came out to install new locks, dead bolts and Strikemasters to all the doors. I had never even heard of Strikemasters, which are metal brackets placed on the doorframe so that it cannot be kicked in! He was extremely friendly and helpful! And, we are working together again to replace the interior doors and the windows also. I would definitely recommend HIR to my friends and family! Great job! Thank you!

We recently hired Home Improvement Resources to replace our old flat 1 panel garage doors and an old leaking patio door. 2 companies were not interested in trying because the old fold up doors were built within a drop ceiling, making it very difficult to install the hardware & openers and the patio door was surrounded by rotted framing. They made it all look brand new at a very reasonable price. We will use them again on our next home and be glad to refer them to our friends and business associates. Thanks, Chico, Mike & Don.

Beware if your installers are Rodney and Fernando. They installed many windows at my home, and that night it rained and it rained inside my home, the rain ran down the wall and to the hardwood floors which caused the floors to warp. The caulk ran down the brick staining it; they chipped and scratched the jacuzzi tub; and cut the alarm system. I called Tony about the leaking windows and his response was "we expected this to happen." They put a lien on my home b/c I wouldn't pay them until everything was fixed. BEWARE!

This home was leaking before we started the project. The homeowner asked our installer if he could recommend a flooring contractor to repair her floors the day we started the job. She also asked if we could do some temporary
caulking before her special order windows arrived to help stop the existing leaky windows which we did and at no charge. The porch previously leaked onto the front door,
windows and flooring We did scratch the tub and we paid for a full refinish. We did not cut the alarm system but did repair the broken wire that was within the wall a
foot from our window. A storm washed some caulk out and the installers came the next morning dressed in rain suits and spread plastic over the problem areas until it could be recaulked. We can't inherit the previous issues with a house that had damage from a lack of maintenance.
The lien was placed after all was completed and a new balance was settled but payment was still not
made. It is the only lien we have ever had to place.

I had a wonderful experience with HIR. They installed 25 premium windows on our 27 yr old home. Excellent craftsmen, neat & tidy after each window install, very congenial and trustworthy. Highly recommend!

Don Smallwood and the team at Home Improvement Resources did a great job! From the initial consultaion, quotes, scheduling and installation ..... everything went as planned. I would highly recommend them and would most definately use them again. The products they use were of high quality and their installer, Randy, was a PRO. GREAT JOB GUYS !!! Pricing may not be the cheapest but it was competitive and is a reflection of how good their work was.

Overall, our experience with RB was excellent. We had sash replacements installed for 27 windows, including two large fixed windows for bays. We had the outside brick and nose molding replaced on all windows along with sills for seven of the windows. We also had some other carpentry work done. Two crews led by Randy and Roger did a great job. They were very friendly along with being very considerate of our house (did not track mud and dirt in). If we asked about something, they immediately addressed it or made sure we were happy (only needed to do this a few times). Based on other blogs from folks who talked about horror stories involving window replacements, Randy and Roger provided the opposite experience. Behind the scenes, Tony worked with us regarding scheduling and Chris K. was very patient with us as we explored many different windows for quotes. Lastly, their bid was very competitive. To be frank, I originally didn't even thing about contacting Robert Bowden until a family member happen to put a bug in my ear about his excellent experience with them for other work. I had nothing to lose by talking to them. I would recommend that you at least talk to them about any of your home improvements.

I hired them to replace a door for me that had been leaking terribly under the sill because of rot and some bad planning on the builder's part. I had several people come out to give me a quote and they were the best price with the best service by far. I had to chase after the others to get an estimate, but these guys called me soon after the home visit, explained everything in detail, and were very pleasant when I had to reduce my order from 2 doors to 1 because of another home improvement project. The installer was very polite and the door no longer leaks! I definitely plan to use them again.

I had 2 windows that were cloudy because of a broken seal. They did a nice good of replacing them and cleaning up afterwards. It was a bit crazy sometimes with the phone tagging going on but it all got done in the end

We recently had windows installed in our 1927 home. We had to replace the original remaining windows. Ian Dow was our salesman; Randy & Roger were the installers. We received the best service and professionalis with quality products and they were all an absolute delight to work with. We would highly recommend this company for any of your homes needs.

Don and his crew did a beautiful job custom-fitting a garden window in my 1950's ranch. It was an odd-size opening but that presented no problem, and the window is just gorgeous, and adds so much to my kitchen. The window was somewhat expensive (more than the new 10' sliding glass doors I also installed, hence the 3-stars on value) but definitely makes up for the cost with its great style and design! Would certainly call them again. Marilyn W.

I work for a large General Contractor in the Atlanta area and had to fire a siding subcontractor for lack of performance and failure to stay on schedule. I needed a quick fix within budget and Home Improvement Resources was that fix. They responded quickly, had the best price and met all of our corporate requirements which are sometimes difficult. I look forward to working with them again and definitely recommend them.

We had Craftsman style doors garage doors and openers installed within a few days of selecting the style we wanted. The installers did a nice/clean job and Mike Sakacsi was very helpful. Our doors are very quite and work wonderfully.

We used Home Improvement Resources to install new Jeldwen replacement windows in our 1920's home. Our salesman, Chris Kennedy was amazing throughout the entire process and even stopped by a couple of times during the installation process to make sure that we were happy with the work that was being done. To be honest, I knew we needed new windows, but was hesitant because I knew that it would disrupt the entire household. However, Home Improvement Resources made sure that the process was easy from start to finish. The team of installers was also diligent about getting the job done in a timely matter and to our utmost satisfaction. I would not hesitate in recommending this company.

I had 10 40 yr old windows replaced in my second home in the N Ga mtns. The company's prices were very competitive on standard wood window sizes with tilt balances. The job was done as scheduled and completed in a very professional manner.

Our project was fairly large - 4 sets of French doors, 12 arch/radius windows, 6 picture windows and 4 regular windows... all in LoE glass. I took several bids from the usual suspects and was either blown away by the cost or turned off by the quality proposed. Finally Chris Kennedy of HIR came out and proposed really good quality products at a reasonable price. Chris was patient thru several iterations of the quote. Before contract signing, Tony Frank (the project mgr) did a site visit to make sure everything could be accomplished within the contract scope (e.g. no surprises). When the windows and doors had been munufactured, Tony introduced the installation crew of Travis and Craig: Excellent Craftsmen and pleasant to have around. Of course we had some issues on a project of this size, but Travis and Craig rejected any product with a defect and Tony quickly arranged for replacement product. All-in-all a very succesful project. And as a bonus, my first electricity bill was down 17% from a year ago.
