I brought in my car for a clutch replacement. I had the parts and they agreed to do the labor. The first sign of problem is when I actually arrived at the shop, they raised the price over the quote they gave me over the phone. But the woman said that it was a innocent mistake. I did it anyway. After the job was done, I felt the the clutch was not as smooth as I expected. But I did not suspect anything wrong. Fast forward to 4 months later, I took the car to a different technician to find the progressive vibration problem with car. He immediately identify two problems: First, the engine mount was not bolted properly. In fact, the bolt on the engine hydraulic mount was forced in without alignment, it damaged the threads and got stuck halfway in. So the engine will go up and down when revved. Secondly, the mechanic asked me if the clutch plate was surfaced when the clutch was replaced. I said that I assumed it was. But he showed me that when the clutch lightly touched the plate, the car started to shake. He said that it was a sign that the plate was not even. Despite that the young couple works in Honda ST shop seem nice, they are not doing adequate job. I would not recommend them.
