We stayed at Hotel La Jolla in September and had a stunning view of the ocean from our room. The service was equally stunning, exceeding our expectations in every way. We walked to the beach and walked to dinner at The Marine Room. We also had dinner upstairs at Clays, which we felt was even better than The Marine Room. While in La Jolla we also went to the Glider Port to watch the hang gliders and we went to the La Jolla cove. While we live in San Diego, this was a perfect weekend getaway without the long drive.
