The tech Jason showed up same day we discussed options on my 17 year old unit. I decided to replace and upgrade, the Next Day Jason and Josh showed up and had it all done in 4 hours! They treated me great and treated my house as a home not a job site.

First of all they were very late for both meetings and would not give me a courtesy call. At the first meeting the guy was standing outside my house for 15 minutes on his cell phone. I took time off work to be there. I had contacted them to install a wireless thermostat I had bought. I had emailed them previously with model number and website link so they knew what they would be dealing with. When he got here and looked at it he had not idea how to install it. So here I am having taken time off work and they can't install this even though I had specified the exact model. Then after that within 10 minutes he's looking at my heat pump and determines I need a new one and has his price book out and is trying to sell me on a $4000 heat pump based on the fact that it may or may not have a leak. The heat pump is fine and has been working perfectly for months still. Tired of them wasting my time.

Lies come easy for you! 1)We have been to your house only one time. 2)We always call first before coming in the time period set for the service call. 3)YOU changed YOUR mind on us installing the thermostat you incorrectly bought online and you put it back in the box to return. We wasted our time preparing for a thermostat you didn't even want. 4)We determined you were low on freon and you did not even want to find out where the leak was. The tech determined nothing from that. You were given no proposal nor even a price at all! 5)We haven't seen you since our only visit to you in February. Did it take this long to fabricate your review?
Our A/C crashed after 32 years. Houser folks came out to provide an estimate. The estimate was $2750 less than I was quoted by another company. After having such a well dressed, professional and friendly rep, I knew I would go with Houser no matter what. The crew that installed the system the very next day were very friendly, professional and hard working. The system was installed in a very timely manner. They laid mats down in their work area to save the flooring in my basement. The guys did a fantastic job cleaning up after the installation. The Houser staff contacted to provide an arrival time. They were always here on time. Very nice people to work with and I know they truly appreciated my business. I highly recommend Houser Heating and Air.

We checked many reviews, BBB, and decided to get three companies to give us estimates with Houser being one. Not only was their price very affordable, but he took the time to explain all of our options and compared them to price and value. Even recommended a smaller, less expensive unit and assured us the quality and size were right for our house. Our crew was on time, friendly, clean, and worked very hard. I never would have thought replacing my air conditioning system would be such a pleasant experience.

I needed to replace inefficient 2nd floor air conditioner, and I called to many companies asking about price of this, but none answered even estimation value, only answering I must to make an appointment they come in my house and estimate it. It's awful, very nonprofessional, since I need spend my time for this, when I told exactly what I need, and all tech parameters of my current system are. After calling to "Houser", I've got exactly what I asked. They answered to all my questions before scheduling estimation service, and finally the price same as they answered to my phone call. After that they have done their job very fast, high quality, and very clean for my house, covering carpet before that. I'll definitely advice to my friends Houser Heating & Air Conditioning, providing Great service for very reasonable price!

We recently had to call Jason out to check our units as summer began to bear down on us and the temperature rose. He was polite, corteous, and thorough: even after he fixed the initial cause of the problem, he made sure to check everything with the unit. Thanks for the kind words. Our warranty states that when we repair your system and if it doesn't correct the problem, we will remove the part and refund 100% of what you paid. Nothing prorated, and not the repairs minus the diagnostic fee. What kind of work would you expect us to do with that kind of warranty? It has to be right or we couldn't stay in business very long. If it doesn't work out for you, our client, it doesn't work out for us! Gary Houser

I have been using Houser Heating & Air since buying my house in 1990. I have had nothing but professional and excellent service since then. They recently replaced my 23 year old furnace and also replaced a 12 year old heat pump. I could not be happier with the outcome. I now have a high efficiency furnace and heat pump that will save me plenty of money for years to come. I have known Gary Houser for more than 20 years. You will not find a more sincere and honest person than him. His employees are always courteous and professional. I always enjoy talking to Wayne when I call to set up an appointment. Quite simply, they are the best.

Gas furnace went out. I contacted a repair company that is rated 5 stars on Kudzu. The owner determined that my furnace has a bad circuit board and quoted ~$1,600 for parts and labor for this small circuit board the size of a postcard. Then he tried to convince me to buy a new gas furnace instead. I got back on Kudzu and phoned around for additional estimates. Some of the other 5 star rated companies refused to give me a phone estimate even though I gave them the part number. I then called Houser. Gary Houser, the owner, estimated $450 (parts and labor) which was the best estimate I had gotten. Houser's tech Jason showed up a few hours later. Jason was very professional and explained that my old builder-grade furnace should be replaced in order to mitigate additional repairs. I agree with Jason, but decided to go with the $450 band aid fix and then get around to replacing the furnace when I can afford to. Jason understood and did not try to push me into something I could not afford, which I greatly appreciated. Jason replaced the bad part, heat started blowing, and I wrote a check for $450 instead of $600, $700 or $1,600. When I get around to replacing my furnace I will call Houser. I also wonder if some of the people giving Houser's competitors 5 star ratings on Kudzu really shopped around and compared and saved money. On thing for sure: Houser competed for and earned my rating.

A couple of weeks ago our heating went out and this company expedited service for me and my 3 month old that same day (although they did not know about the baby). Josh was great despite the fact that he was had other appointments scheduled that day. His attitude was great and his personality amiable. He got our heat running and pointed out a crack in the assembly inducer in which carbon monoxide would start seeping out at any point in time. 3 days later he replaced it. He did the work quickly and professionally. The company guarantees their work for 2 years, where most do for only 1 year. Thanks Houser.

This used to be a positive review, but as I signed into Kudzu, I couldn't believe I hadn't updated. We bought 2 new full systems from Houser after years of using them for maintenance. The price was good, but the installation was terrible. It was not the regular service crew, but some guys I had never seen before. Never rectified to our satisfaction -- just enough to get by.

You waited two years to post this? I have a long serving memory. Let's see... your duct board plenum broke loose and we repaired that; you didn't like that the white mastic seal didn't match the silver plenum; I offered to paint everything silver, sent a tech from Conyers to Johns Creek and you changed your mind and decided to leave it as is. You thought a new furnace included all new ducts; you didn't recognize my installation crew because they never did an installation for you; "never rectified to our satisfaction- just enough to get by". We boiled down every above mentiond issue you had, and when we wasted our trip to pretty paint your plenum in the attic you waited until we showed then said you didn't want it. I guess if you would had let us cover the white mastic seal to your satisfaction you wouldn't know how to act since the only complaint you had would be taken away. How pitiful. I will not stand by meekly and allow the measurement of my attempts to resolve your pettiness to be called "just enough to get by.".Once you turn down agreed solutions after you looked so very hard to find problems to complain about, your comments do not carry any credibility any further. Complain and whine but not after you refuse the solution we agreed upon. Not so great Customer!
I have been using Houser heating and Air for years to service our units.They came highy recommended by my own Dad who still uses them, and now that he has Alzheimers, they are respectful and caring and always sure to have another family member in the room. They are beyond honest. They are always on time. This week the serviceman who came was new to me.His name was Jason and he was friendly as he could be. He did a great job, even taking off his shoes when he came into the house after servicing the heat pump outside, so as not to make a mess on the rug. Everyone that has come from this company as been wonderfully prompt, kind and honest. I highly recommend them!

It would be hard to put into words everything Gary has done for almost every member of my family. Not dating his (and mine) age too bad, my wife and I have known Gary since high school and positively no one else will ever have any of our HVAC business. He and his staff have performed installation, repairs, upgrades and service on both our residential and business systems for longer than I care to remember. At no time have we ever been disappointed with their service. Sure, there have been times over all the years that Gary and I have had discussions about what would be the best solutions, but the final choice has always been left up to us without any pressure what so ever. We have seen many techs come and go from the business, but I must attribute that the the standards that Gary holds them to. He is always available anytime, anyday. anywhere he is needed to get the job done. From sitting up the the attic with him on many occassions while he himself does the service to sitting at our kitchen table discussing family, bottom line is there is not a finer person or company available to handle your HVAC needs. Anyone that has a issue with this company has issues with everything they do. Gary operates one of the finest businesses that I have ever come across and I feel priviliged to know him personally and professionally.

Houser was willing to adapt thier service times to get my unit installed on a timely basis that worked with my schedule. Installer was very helpful and informative after the unit was installed to help me understand its operation.

Puron, unlike many Haloalkane refrigerants, does not contribute to ozone depletion. We highly recommend & sell EnergyStar-rated equipment. We recycle all metal materials - steel, aluminum, and copper. Our technicians are EPA certified and trained in the proper handling and disposal of R-22 (Freon). All R-22 (Freon) is recovered and not released into the atmosphere.
